About this deal
The only reason I would tell anyone to not get it, is because I want to keep the advantage on the nerf battle field. although I trust you'll be more careful than my children, and hopefully you don't have house rabbits who think Nerf darts are super-tasty. The other thing you notice is how much quieter and smoother it is than the older full-auto blasters too. If you need some covering fire, this is a blaster that will spray a lot of foam, very quickly and with the rifling effect of spinning the dart as it fires, the accuracy is a step up too.
The blaster carries the term "hyper" in its name because of its hyper-fast rate of fire: no electric blaster was capable of shooting 5 darts per second before. It is thought to be a successor to the N-Strike Elite RapidStrike CS-18, given the similarities in fully-automatic firing and clip loading. There is another clever piece of design with the NERF N-Strike Elite HyperFire; the flywheels are slanted, or canted.
We also found that the canted flywheels, while also improving accuracy, seem to help out with both the overall range and the consistency of the distance the darts flew. After all, how many other blasters have you used that let you fire 25 shots in 5 seconds with no modification? This has been a busy summer and even with the weather being a bit temperamental we have managed to get out and in the garden fairly frequent.
