Ever since that 2016 album ‘Tygers Of Pan Tang’ the band has established a clear direction that is also being executed on ‘Bloodlines’. Recorded entirely by the musicians who comprise the current line-up, it is a tour de force of what made the NWOBHM such a potent force in music. The songs are pretty much on the short side from some three minutes with two tracks just going over the five-minute mark. Not long after that bass player Huw Holding and Italian guitarist Francesco Marras join the ranks, ready to participate on ‘Bloodlines’, the 13 th official studio-release.It starts strong with a metal-tinged hard rock track that sets the tone for the album, expertly played, classy, and with Jack Meille as a vocalist that’s as good as any. She's always had a passion for music, but she didn't get into Hard Rock and Heavy Metal music until she discovered Rick Allen's story in the summer of 2019. The album closer, “Making All the Rules,” however, is a real treat because it’s a laid-back song, but also a rocker.

Our recent live shows have demonstrated a harmony within the band and, coupled with the quality of Bloodlines, the potential to create music and perform live shows for some considerable time to come,” said Weir. The EP ‘A New Heartbeat’ contains four songs including two remakes of songs that were featured on their debut album ‘Wild Cat’. The irony of all this is that although the Tygers have always been “nearly” men – they’ve had some serious bad luck along the way, not least their original singer doing a flit to run a label, and John Sykes being poached by Thin Lizzy – they’re always there, always working, and still releasing superb records.
