At this young age you don’t want to be bathing baby for longer than 10 minutes anyway as they get cold very quickly. As once sectioned off with BabyDam it provides you with potentially 2 sections for bathing which are both averagely sized. Built in the mid-1700s, both time and the destructive American signal crayfish had taken their toll on these structures and the dams were in need of major and expert attention.

The uniqueness of BabyDam is that it grows with baby, as baby’s size increases you can position BabyDam further back in the bath providing them with the additional space that they need. The main phases of the works took around two and a half years, due to delays as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic and severe weather.

The bath seat is as described, my little girl is on the tiny side for her age so I have had to put a foam insert into it to stop her from sliding about, but apart from that she loves her new bath chair!

Brought this instead of a baby bath, thought it would last abit longer, should have not bothered really. The original 18th-century wall that lines the upstream face of the dam has also been repaired and extended, to help prevent the crayfish burrowing into the dam itself. There are some great pictures to be had in the garden and the iconic Palladian Bridge is a popular destination for proposal and wedding photoshoots. You can fill it with a shower head or jugs of water if you are using it at the non-tap end of the bath.

Over the last two years Prior Park Landscape Garden has undergone major restoration on its historic dams.You can also catch the red City Sightseeing bus (Skyline route) from various locations in the city centre: Manvers St, Terrace Walk, North Parade and Great Pulteney St. There's a small part of the garden in the Pasture marked in grey on the map which we ask visitors to not walk whilst the grass regrows following the dams project. Firstly maybe you have to have a certain shape of bath for this to work properly I have a bath that is rounded at both ends and this doesn’t seem to work in my bath. If they’re feeling more confident in the water and you feel they would benefit from a larger area then that’s the time to graduate them to full family bath status.
