About this deal

Hiroyuki Sawano – Scapegoat (00:57-01:17), Instrument and vocal tonality/timbre are leagues ahead of the SV021. The SIVGA SV021 shows a slightly warmer than neutral midrange tonality with good level of headroom, clarity and airiness. The midrange sounds slightly recessed while the general resolution in this area is pretty high due to the pronounced upper midrange tuning. Occasionally, I found myself turning my head because I could feel some sounds around me - instruments are well-positioned to create an impression of surround sound. Hiroyuki Sawano – Lose (string version) (01:22-01:59), Violins/cellos on the 1AM2 is better in every way.

Sivga SV021 (Robin) Headphone Review: These - HIFI Trends

We listened to more songs than those named in this playlist, but those are excellent for identifying a sonic signature. PRaT, Texturization, Detail, Resolution, Dynamics, Impact, and overall tonality are all revealed by those songs. We recommend trying most of the songs from this playlist, especially if you’re searching for new music! Any item returned incomplete or with physical damage such as scratches etc., excessive signs of use, or abuse will not be accepted for return. After bending the headphones like a maniac, I can finally say that they sit alright on my head —the way that they should’ve sat out of the box.

SIVGA SV021 - Reviews | Headphone Reviews and Discussion

Technicalities: Shiro Sagisu – Hundred years war (02:24-02:57), similar width but a lot deeper and holographic soundstage on the Phoenix. Detail, imaging, separation and timbre are leagues ahead on the Phoenix.

Final Thoughts

Sivga describes its treble as “clear and gorgeous”. Yes, it is clear, but it may or may not be “gorgeous” depending on one’s preference. To my ears, the upper mids or the treble can exhibit a certain amount of sibilance, depending on the music and/or listener’s tolerance. The “S” and “TS” sounds can be harsh depending on the music. For example, the XRT portable amplifier is my go-to musicality ‘GO AWAY LET ME LISTEN AND HAVE FUN’ amplifier…and pairing this with the xDuoo X3 + the Robin SV021 sounds denser and more musical to me than just using the X3 by itself. So, you can increase the heft factor depending on the rig.

This warranty extends only to personal use & does not extend to any product that has been used for commercial use, rental use, or use that is not intended. There are no warranties other than expressly set forth herein. If SV021 is a club where you get that head-shaking bass, then Blue is your conventional audiophile headphone with that more refined bass response. I’ve become used to the higher-end, sister-brand Sendy Audio and Sivga products that come bundled with a distinctively shaped hard case and beautiful braided balanced cable. For the Oriole (and Robin), the bundle is leaner. The long list of similarities between the Sivga Oriole and Robin SV021 makes the short list of differences particularly poignant. If a softer, warmer listen is more your style, the Robin SV021 may be more up your alley. If your interests lean further into brightness and imaging, well, I’ll tell you now: go with the Oriole. As for me? I liked the Oriole a bit more – though I enjoyed both EQs equally for different reasons, the Oriole’s wide stage added extra intrigue that I simply found more exciting. Whatever you’re into, I found the pricing on both headphones to be perfectly appropriate. I hope we see even more from Sivga at this price point and quality in the future.SIVGA claims the Robin SV021 is bright sounding but I am going to go on a limb here and disagree with that. I think there are notions of bright timber now and then, but this is not a bright-sounding headphone to my ear. I’d call it something non-dark, but with a good chance of feeling like there is a spotlight effect now and then with the brightness factor in the treble response. Inside the box are the headphones, detachable cable, a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter and a fabric carrying pouch. It would have been nice to see some kind of actual carrying case but the omission of one is how Sivga has kept the price of the headphones down. Design As you will find out, I will make a number of observations and comparisons between the SV021 and the Phoenix. In theory, the two should sound alike due to the mutual driver… Compared to a wireless headphone there’s not much to speak of in terms of features. Impedance is rated at 32ohms so the Robin can easily be driven by a smartphone or laptop, though for more performance a DAC or portable music player would help.

Sivga sv021 Review • Audiostance

The ear-cups feature a flat surface one the upper outer part, and this is also where the “SIVGA” logo is carved out. UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS:Upon opening the box, I am presented with a carrying pouch, a quarter-inch adapter, a dual-sided 2.5mm SE cable (1.5m long), and last but not least, the headphone itself. use not following the ‘User Guide’ or any additional safety, use, or warnings included in the product materials. Mids: Hiroyuki Sawano – OldToday (01:25-01:52), a lot more natural tonality/timbre, not recessed mids and not veiled on the Phoenix. Not to mention, midrange resolution also isn't the best. The hollowness in the midrange also means that resolution suffers. If you are a midrange kind of guy, this probably isn't for you. In terms of build quality, the ATH-M50X are made of plastic and the ear cups are shallower. The modern and fashionable-looking Robin are definitely more eye-catching for consumers. The deeper ear cups and better cushioning on the headband are more comfortable as well.
