About this deal

The Donner Harmonic Square Octave is an octave and pitch shifter pedal that will work great with any six-string guitar, 4-string bass guitars, baritone guitar, etc. It offers three modes of operation. By using its toggle you can choose between Sharp, Detune, and Flat. Each of these delivers a different flavor of octave and lets you explore a myriad of sounds. Fortunately, Joyo has created a more than a sufficient clone of this Suhr Riot pedal. However, this is not a direct clone as there are some differences between these two pedals. For example, the Suhr Riot comes with an extra voicing toggle switch. Which lets you switch between three different high gain distortion voices. This is a classic sound used in blues music. Hence, all the names of “blue” going on here. Marshall does make a modern version of the vintage Bluesbreaker. However, I’d say this Blue rain is more of a clone of the older Bluesbreakers. Joyo Bullet Metal Clone Of Nothing Looking into the Joyo Wooden sound, it is very hard to find a pedal that this could be a clone of. The closest thing I can think of is the Boss Acoustic Simulator. However, this Wooden sound is its own unique pedal. Simulating the acoustic guitar is one of the hardest effects to get right. And Joyo has hit the nail on the head with this Acoustic Sim. Whilst Acoustic Simulators will of course never really sound like the real thing. This is about as close as it gets to achieving a well rounded acoustic tone from your electric guitar by the stomp of a switch. Ironman Amp Simulators Octave pedals have become quite popular for guitarists and bassists, as well as other instrumentalists. An octave effect offers an array of possibilities to spice up your music, from fatter lines to all-out experimental sound. What Are The Best Octave Pedals?

The only downside to the Ironman pedals is that they can’t run off a 9v battery. Only a power supply. Another thing I realized is that they’re a bit on the higher side in terms of price when compared to the 10 and 30 series. However, they definitely still fall into the budget category of pedals. For the pedals that are smaller versions of clones from other series, I haven’t written much of a review as they’ve been covered above in the 10 series and 30 series. The voodoo octave is a cheap octazver/fuzz pedal made by Joyo. Fuzz, tone and volume knobs are pretty common, but there is a little mid cut switch to get a "Muffer" tone and a fat sound. There's also 2 footswitches : on/off and octave, which make it more polyvalent. Personally I don't hear a "real fuzz" like Fuzz Face or Maestro, it's more a high distorsion. Basically, it permits to get 4 different kind of tone : classical or mid-cut and both avaible with or without octave up ! And i won't talk about variations with the fuzz knob, that's pretty effective. The octave sound can't be activated without fuzz and adds an octave up. A famous sound heard in Hendrix or Neil Young's records, for simple riffs or legendary solos, but don't try with too complex chords or it will turn into a real mash !! To conclude it's a good product if you want to test the octafuzz tone at a low price unlike vintage reissues (and even more with only vintage ones), however it will necessarily need to be replaced. It's a nice stuff to begin, but a bit too 'cold' compared to vintage records. If you want a snarling fuzz beast that adds another dimension to your riff with the Octave Up is engaged, look no further than the JOYO JF-12 Vodoo Octave Fuzz. This is a versatile pedal that was made for those that prefer a more vintage sound but that can be used in modern settings as well. Features

This pedal offers three knobs (2 tiny and one normal) and a toggle switch to allow you to be in full control of your sound at all times. One of the tiny knobs is labeled “Wet” and sets the volume of the effected signal. Joyo has built a reputation for itself when it comes to affordable and great-sounding effects pedals and the Voodoo Octave is no exception. It is preferred over the Joyo Fuzz Pedal, Purple Storm, because of its octave feature which can come in handy. It also does not interfere with the normal distortion effect when disengaged, which makes having the feature useful for emergencies even when you don't use harmonic effects frequently in your playing. If you're interested in this stompbox, this Joyo Voodoo Octave review will provide you with everything you need to know about this guitar pedal. Should You Get It?

The Donner Digital Octave guitar pedal is a solid and compact unit for those looking for a good budget option. It is one of the smallest guitar pedals in this list but offers flexibility and many features, making it an ideal candidate for those with tight pedalboards. Features The JOYO JF-12 features a mid-cut that allows you to scoop out some of the body. That can work quite nicely when playing some crunchy power chords. This pedal offers a lot of sustain for your solos and leads that stand out and cut through a busy mix. When combined with the Octave Up feature, the Fuzz can sound a bit like the White Stripes.

Just by looking and hearing the effects from the 10 and 30 series, we can see Joyo make some of the best Chinese clone pedals. However, as I mentioned at the start of this list, there are essentially three series or ranges of pedals by Joyo. I’ve covered the 10 series clones as well as the 30 series clones already. But, did you know there is another series of pedals by Joyo called the Ironman series? They’re built well are are pretty rugged. My Joyo clone pedals have already endured years of abuse and still function perfectly. This is a musical octaver without unwanted glitches in lower notes and chords, allowing you to transform your electric guitar into a 12-string, a bass, or even a church organ.

JOYO JF-12 Ultimate Fuzz and Voodoo Octave Guitar Effect

Ocatve Fuzz pedals are a strange breed of fuzz. Distortion and Fuzz pedals create upper and lower octave harmonics as part of the distortion that you hear. An octave fuzz pedal doesn't create a pitch shifting effect, it emphasizes the octave frequency at the upper register (or lower in some cases). That's why you can hear the effect better on certain parts of the fret board better than others. The Joyo Voodoo Octave fuzz is NOT an Octavia clone but a clone of the Foxx Tone Machine. All of these options come in a very durable enclosure and a well-planned design. This pedal’s layout is simple enough to get a great tone right out of the box. With a little adjustment, the M288 Octave Deluxe is capable of pricing sounds for the most discerning players. This pedal offers a variety of sounds that can be useful in many contexts and styles. The tone of the octaves sounds as natural as possible for octaves that are clearly outside the reach of a standard guitar. Two octaves down produces a deep throaty sound that will require a larger speaker.

Modulation is not complete without a phaser effect. What better way of adding this effect to your pedalboard in this tiny enclosure with an array of parameters to play with. It would seem as though this Nebulous Phaser by Joyo is not a clone of any phaser pedal. The Joyo JF-12 Voodoo Octave is a cheap octave fuzz pedal, a failed copy of the Fulltone Ultimate Octave, itself based on the Foxx Tone Machine. A bad schematic resulted in some capacitors with reversed polarity which reduced the octave effect, and capacitors with swapped values which caused reduced bass frequencies. Thus it is popular to mod this pedal correcting these mistakes, making the octave effect more clear and restoring the low frequencies. Most will be familiar with the Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz, a clone of the Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz, itself based on the Univox Superfuzz. It seems less well known that this pedal is an octave fuzz, as the octave is less apparent than with most octave fuzzes. Initially, I was reluctant to add the Joyo Iron man pedals to this list of clones by Joyo. The reason I was hesitant is due to the fact that many of the pedals in the Ironman series are either smaller versions of pedals from the 10 & 30 series. Whilst many other Joyo Ironman pedals are their own thing and not copies or clones. However, there are indeed pedals in the Ironman series that are clones. Or, have drawn inspiration from original pedals. I must note that there is no official confirmation that these are the exact clones/copies. Some of them are quite obviously clones, whilst others aren’t as obvious. Joyo Ironman Series Of MiniClones And Originals This octave pedal allows you to blend an octave below and octave above a given note, balancing the sounds with the responsive controls. A single input and two outs allow you to split the dry and wet signals.

These 2 caps are marked as C9 and C15 on the Joyo PCB. C9 is immediately below the top left hand pot (fuzz) in the gutshot in post 1. C15 is below the mid-cut switch and off to the right. These caps correspond to C7 and C12 on the ggg schematic. Joyo is an already-established Chinese clone pedal brand and they’ve been around for quite some time. As a result, we can see their pedals hold up well For the purposes of this clone list, I will be discussing only the 10 and 30 series of pedals. The reason I haven’t included the Iron Man series is that these mini pedals are supposed to hold their own. And whilst they very well may be clones, I’m much more equipped to discuss the 10 and 30 series. Bluesbreaker is both an amplifier as well as a pedal produced by Marshall. However, in this instance, I’m comparing the Joyo Blue rain to that of the Marshall Blues breaker pedal. Both the Bluesbreaker and the Blue rain are overdrive pedals that aim to replicate the sound of an amplifier that is breaking up (about to go into overdrive) with a wide-open sound void of much compression. The Donner Digital Octave is one of the best octave pedals, especially if we consider its features, tiny size, and price. 3. Electro-Harmonix Micro Pog (Premium Option)

Just like with the Chinese clone pedal 10 Series by Joyo features some amp simulator/preamp pedals. So does the Ironman series. Only this time these incredible preamps/amp simulators come in the same tiny size as the rest of the Ironman pedals. Furthermore, Joyo has added a few new amp simulators to this range that aren’t featured in the 10 series. The Joyo Ironman amp simulator clone list is as follows: The Joyo Digital delay is not a direct clone of any specific pedal. However, one thing about the Joyo digital delay is that a filter within the circuit of the pedal has been designed in such a way as to replicate that of an analog delay. Perhaps this is one of those few Joyo pedals that were designed to be unique and be their own thing. Unfortunately, this delay, along with the other Joyo delay pedals, does not come with a tap tempo function. Joyo Tai Chi Overdrive Review: Clone Of The Zen Drive??
