Fujifilm has always walked its own path when it comes to the design of its mirrorless cameras and the X-T5 doesn’t stray from this script. Keep the brush in its bang and in the tube and it will last you forever. Just never touch the bristols and keep them as sterile as possible. Over time, I have really come to love diffusion filters, which can significantly enhance cityscape photography at night and impart a cinematic feel to both video and still imagery. The X-T5 handles in much the same as its predecessors, favoring manual dials in sensible positions to help you to take full control of your image-making. On the top of the camera, there are three dials to set the shutter speed, ISO and exposure compensation. On the shutter speed dial, there's a switch to go between stills and movie recording, while the shooting mode (continuous, single, etc) can be switched from the bottom of the ISO dial.The point here, though, is that there are workarounds. And why Fujifilm would have to actively issue firmware for this when there are other glaring issues with the Fujifilm XT5 is mind-boggling. More obviously, though, it hints to me that a bunch of inexperienced photographers are buying the camera and not actually thinking critically. If the camera did err, it tended to go a little dark rather than a little too light. That’s what I like to see because shadows are always easier to recover in post than highlights. Fujifilm XT5 Pros The screen articulation has always been a bone of contention for Fujifilm owners. Some prefer the speed and discretion of a simple vertical tilt, whether they’re shooting stills or filming video behind the camera, while the side angle option does at least allow more comfortable shooting at unusual angles in the portrait orientation. The new X-T5 has exactly the same hybrid autofocus system with phase detection and and contrast detections points as the more expensive X-H2. So it really comes down to what you want and what shoot. The X-T5 is a more 'traditional' enthusiast camera in both looks and handling, while the X-H2 is for professionals. Both will take Fujifilm X-mount lenses.
