About this deal

Fenix are well known for their well regulated constant outputs and the E18R V2.0 is no exception – all the modes up to high were pretty much spot and with a constant output. I measured turbo at 1279 lumens at turn on, 1230 at 10 seconds, 1182 at 30 seconds, 563 at 5 minutes and 415 lumens at 10 minutes. Chế độ Vừa: 350 lumen. Sáng ổn định, thay đổi nhẹ khó nhận ra trong suốt thời gian sáng đến khi tắt. It also has multi-coloured front auxiliary LEDs that can also be configured as well as everything else with its Anduril 2 firmware. I’m not sure how they measured their runtime with this light, because their high and turbo numbers are nowhere near what I got for ANSI or shut off. On a positive note, my runtimes were much longer than what Sofirn specified. Mode The PD25R is very simple to operate. The tail switch turns it on and off and the side switch cycles through the brightness levels. From a 70 hour 5 lumen eco mode, to a 16 hour 30 lumen low mode, a 2 hour 50 minute 150 lumen medium mode, 1 hour 30 minute 350 lumen high mode and a 800 lumen turbo mode that will operate for up to 45 minutes but will step down in brightness as the torch heats up. The side switch LED will indicate the battery remaining just like the E18R when the torch is on.

Unlike on the Sofirn SC18, there’s no silk-screened logo to indicate the battery direction (this is fine for me.) It appears the manual is based on the brighter 6000K version – but even with that version I doubt you’ll get the outputs in the manual, which is a little misleading. The manual states 1400 lumens of output based on the ANSI FL1 standard which is measured 30 seconds after switching the torch on. The cell goes into the light in the “usual way” (which is to say that the positive terminal of the cell goes into the light). I compare everything to the KillzoneFlashlights.com 219b BLF-348 because it’s inexpensive and has the best tint! The charging light turns from red to green when it’s fully charged. You can use the moonlight, low and medium modes whilst it’s charging.The Sofirn SC18 is a low-cost 18650-based flashlight that offers USB-C charging and a nice range of output! It makes a great gift! The UI here is ToyKeeper’s Anduril, which at this point is very well covered. I’ve reviewed other lights with it, too. Here’s ToyKeeper’s UI graphic:

A little bit of a mixed bag here. Low and medium don’t quite make their claimed runtime, and high and turbo almost seemed to have swapped numbers. I appreciate that high and turbo come very close to their specified runtime, though. Mode Measurement disclaimer: Testing flashlights is my hobby. I use hobbyist-level equipment for testing, including some I made myself. Try not to get buried in the details of manufacturer specifications versus measurements recorded here; A certain amount of difference (say, 10 or 15%) is perfectly reasonable. What’s Included A half press and release of the tail switch turns on medium brightness, and a full press and release switches on turbo. If you press and hold either the half or full press you get momentary medium or turbo brightness until you release the switch. The numbers for candela were obtained with a UNI-T UT383S luxmeter at 5 and 15 meters, then averaged. Mode The Wurkkos WK03 is a low-cost 18650-based flashlight that offers USB-C charging and a nice range of output! It makes a great gift!Leading Performance: This LED flashlight is equipped with SST-40, easily lighting up the path in front of you with significantly improved throw: it delivers a maximum output of 1800lm at a distance of up to 217 meters, producing a particularly soft and balanced beam profile to preserve comfortable vision. const searchEmpty = ("Your search for \"{test}\" did not yield any results.").replace('{test}', data);

The Sofirn SC18 flashlight is controlled by a single e-switch. This is a soft switch and has an indication function in the center.w Here’s where things get a little interesting. Under the crenulated bezel, the SC32 uses a fresnel lens not commonly seen on flashlights. In a nutshell, the fresnel lens does the job of a convex lens by dividing up the curvature of the lens over a number of lower-profile concentric rings. This allows the lens to be flatter, saving space and material. Since this fresnel lens is shorter than standard TIR lenses or reflectors, it helps keep the light short. There’s no glass lens to cover the plastic fresnel lens, so that may shorten the overall length as well, but then the plastic lens is exposed, so keep that in mind. Sofirn updated the SC21 flashlight to a Pro version. The new one offers Anduril user interface and so you get great ramping features and more! The torch head got warm to the touch at around 46°C. The moonlight mode I measured at 2 lumens which is a bit bright for a moonlight mode but not too bad. There’s also the enthusiast’s favourite the Emisar D4V2 which you can configure however you like – front LEDs, switch LED, body colour etc. Turbo output from Emisar D4V2 (3 x domed Nichia 519A 4500K emitters 3800 lm)But what you lose in output you make up for in the light quality. I measured a warm 4243K colour temperature, with barely any tint and a high CRI of 95 and an equally impressive R9 of 91. To obtain these numbers, I used a very rudimentary integrated shoebox and ceilingbounce on my Samsung Galaxy S10. Measurements have been calibrated using a standardized calibration light provided by 1Lumen. Below you can see the switch indicating in green. When the Sofirn SC18 flashlight is turned on, the switch will indicate the approximate battery level for around 5 seconds. Green means “good” and red means “poor” (or “low”). Flashing red means recharge immediately. Olight doesn’t specify the LED used but I measured a colour temperature of a fairly cool 5989K, a very slight green tint and a CRI of 68. It has a magnetic tail cap which is useful for hands free operation, but also snaps very positively to the Olight magnetic charger if you have one, or into the charging case.
