About this deal

Hang this chic caddy over the door of your shower to make lathering up a breeze! John Lewis & Partners are renowned for making high-quality products, and this shower organiser is no exception. With a stainless steel finish and plenty of space, it's just the right size for one or two people.

The caddy is attached to the shower via a tension pole and the additional suction cups hold it in place, making it highly unlikely to come away from the wall. Pros There’s plenty of storage with the caddy’s three-tier shelves which are made from corrosive resistant materials, so it shouldn’t rust, but if there are any issues you’re covered with a five-year guarantee. Pros Whilst most reviewers found the shower caddy remained securely attached to the wall, some did note that it did have a tendency to fall. The caddy won’t work on matte tiles or porous surfaces such as limestone too, so do bear this in mind before purchasing. Pros If the suction cups are not removable or your caddy uses an adhesive, you’ll need to use some warm soapy water and cloth to remove any build-up or stains. An old toothbrush works a treat for getting into all the nooks and crannies of your caddy too. How we chose our recommendations Recommendations from real Mumsnet usersTension pole: This is simply a pole that wedges between the ceiling and the floor of the shower. They are adjustable so will fit most rooms, are a doddle to assemble and are a great option if your shower is over the bath rather than in a separate cubicle. They are an expensive option, however. Some Mumsnet users found that caddies with adhesive or suction cups didn’t stay attached to the wall. We’ve investigated all of our recommendations to ensure that we’re recommending some of the best products out there, however, like any DIY project, nothing is completely fail-safe. If you’re worried about a caddy falling from the wall, an over-the-door option or tension pole is a good idea as they don’t rely on any form of adhesive. Material

The mDesign caddy comes with four sizeable baskets and two hooks, offering plenty of space for storing toiletries. We also like that it's available in three different colours so all tastes are catered for.The two-tiered basket storage offers ample space for bottles and the additional hooks provide a convenient hanging space for washcloths and razors, whilst the rust-resistant coating should ensure it lasts. Pros The ShowerGem caddy uses a strong adhesive to attach it to the wall. The clever angled shelf design holds large bottles up to a litre in size and because it's tilted, it makes it easier to get those last few drops of product from the bottles, meaning less waste.

We love this caddy because it has a simple shape and a large, sturdy suction cup which ensures it stays firmly in place. However, it can be removed with a bit of force if you decide to shake up your bathroom space. A wall-mounted caddy will stay securely in place and can be attached at the right height for you. Screw-in shower baskets are more likely to stay put once fixed, but the downside is that they're time consuming to install in the first place- you may even need to get someone else to help you attach the product to the wall. Gone are the days of having to drill holes in your bathroom wall to attach your shower caddy securely. There are a number of different ways organisers can be mounted to the wall without causing permanent damage:

We’ve got a simplehuman one that fits into the corner of the shower. It’s got springs that keep it in place. Expensive but amazing.” (Recommended by Mumsnet user GreyStreet) Another common type of caddy is a tall tension pole with shelves placed intermittently along its length. These can usually be adjusted so they'll fit perfectly between the floor and ceiling of your shower. A recommendation service that carefully researches each product and consults with experts across many disciplines. When browsing caddies online, count the number of shelves or sections and decide if they'll provide enough space for your family. Consider how many products you'd like to keep to hand in your shower. It attaches to the wall via super-grip suction cups, which make it easy to reposition without causing damage to the walls and tiles.

Is it just us or does this shower caddy look almost Art Deco in design? We think this totally makes up for the fact that it only has one section! It can be casually hooked over the top of your shower door to store your soapy essentials and beauty products. There’s no sure-fire way to guarantee your caddy won’t succumb to rust after it’s been up a while, but keeping it away from the stream of water from the shower will certainly help. Plastic shower caddies obviously won’t rust, but you will need to clean them regularly. How do you clean a plastic shower caddy?Whilst most users loved that it attached securely and easily to the wall, some did feel that the price was rather high for the quality of the plastic used. Pros The caddy comprises two shelves and has five additional hooks, giving you a lot of storage space for your money. Pros This option is excellent value for money too – it has two storage shelves included which are ideal for keeping everything looking neat and tidy. Pros A good shower caddy will allow you to keep all of the family toiletries close to hand and offer ample storage space whilst looking stylish all at the same time.
