Moving your thermostat closer to the edge of a table is fine, but moving the stand across the room or to another room can confuse your thermostat. Note:Only one of the wires that go into theconnector (HUM,DEHUM,E,W 3,G 3) can be connected to the Nest thermostat. The 3rd-genNest Learning Thermostat supports systems with either multiple fan speeds (G 2/G 3) or with multiple stages of heating (AUX/W 2/W 3) and cooling (Y 2). Fil pilote systems are compatible with both the Nest Thermostat E and 3rd-gen Nest Learning Thermostat, but the wiring is a bit different.
