This flavour shaker is crap! I nearly choked my husband on the broken shards in his salad. Who knows, the grip will come off, the plastic connection will fail – most obviously – people will simply lose the “magic ball”. What utter nonsense. To say I “hate” Jamie Oliver is to willfully misread the post above, but then using this fabrication to then argue that I should haven’t written anything in the first place is, frankly, bonkers. Clearly those who designed this and made all the critical decisions on what plastic to use had no clue just how much punishment that ceramic ball could dish out! If you've got one, I recommend using a Jamie Oliver "flavour shaker" for grinding cardamom as the seeds have an annoying habit of jumping out of a mortar. (It's about the only time I bother using a flavour shaker!) That said, I used to enjoy the cooking show he did several years ago (before he was really famous). He seemed like a good bloke and was a great new TV personality. However somewhere along the way something went terribly wrong!

Sorry to hear that. One of the sad realities of meeting renowned or famous people is that they rarely live up to expectation and, in some cases, turn out to be complete arseholes. Most people off the TV fit into this category in my experience. Swedes normally grease the inside of the Bundt with butter and then dust it with dried breadcrumbs, but you can use baking spray (NOT cooking spray) if you prefer. Freya - You know, I don't know. It looks like the one he "mentions" in his book "Cook With Jamie." I wonder if they realized it's foibles and thought they could offload it over here? Shame, because his books are good.
