Brown the sausages in a large saucepan. Slice the onion finely. Once the sausages are almost cooked through, remove them from the pan and saute the onion in the pan for a few minutes. Add the tomato puree, then fill the tin halfway with water and add it to the tomato and onion gravy. Then add a heaped teaspoon of plain flour, stir and simmer for five minutes. This stew freezes perfectly so if you are making ahead, divide up into portions and store in the freezer for up to 8 weeks.

Gravox is a great product and this mix doesnt let the team down, its not as nice as home made gravy but it will do on any type of roast! Add the water – about ¼ of a cup. Remember there will still be juices that come out of the meat and the other liquids will thin out as they heat, so better to no add too much additional liquid aside from the ¼. Gravox is the best gravy for accompanying your dinners. It is so easy to make and tastes great (just add the water slowly until you get the right consistency for you). I’ve tried a number of gravy brands and I’d have to say that Gravox Gravy Mix has the nicest flavour and is really easy to make.This is handy to have in my pantry for when I make a roast or meat dish all I have to do is add hot water and mix.

I have used this for years and it never fails. A jug, boiling water and a fork to stir, never had any lumps. The taste is really nice and there is never any left at the end of the roast. I love the tin, keeps the powder fresh and easy to open. These are regularly on special at Woolworths. I can not have a baked dinner without this roast meat gravy. It is so easy to make (though I have trouble with the ratios often), and tastes delicious.
