Randomly draw new six-sided tiles and place them, face-up, onto the matching-coloured six-sided spaces in the six numbered depots: In a 2-player game only those spaces marked with 2s (12 spaces), in a 3-player game only those spaces marked with 2s and 3s (18 spaces), and in a 4-player game all 24 spaces will have tiles placed onto them. Board 5 - Best of the boards, a lot of small areas, you should be getting knowledge tiles with end game points for buildings. Shuffle the 42 goods tiles (square tiles) face down. Then separate them into 5 face-down piles, each made up of 5 tiles. Place one pile onto each of the 5 phase spaces lettered A through E on the game board. The remaining 17 tiles remain in a face-down supply for now.
Player Games- Kind of a mix of both, as you can’t plan for something to come out 100% but there is still planning you can do. And the rest - They are all just fine, there’s no knowledge tiles that are duds but the ones above are the best. When a player places a ship tile they take all of the goods tiles on any one depot space and add them to the goods section of their board. Goods of the same type can be piled on the same space. Finally, a player may choose to use any die result to take 2 worker tiles from the general supply. In this case, the die result itself is meaningless. Place the game board in the middle of the table. Put the silverlings, worker tiles and white die next to the game board. Zatu has an excellent range of games and for most of them the best prices too. Delivery is always fast and I have never received a game in bad condition. 10/10 would recommend.Most of the expansions are extra tiles for the main game. There’s one that allows you to use the neutral white dice for an action, there’s a new type of cattle that act as a wild, there’s wild buildings that increase the number of points gained for each section you complete, and even tiles that allow you to use any special building ability. Once you know the game you can just lob them in with the main game without any extra rules overhead. We never play without them now. We love this game. The Castles of Burgundy (special edition) has been designed with a level of care and attention to detail that is second-to-none. The game is simple to learn and has great replayability. It is a game that can be enjoyed by every age group- our ten year old beat us by dominating farming!

There are different bonuses associated with placing tiles of different colours. These are set out further below. Important: Each of the 8 building types may only occur once per city (= a region of connected beige spaces). Depending on the estate, there may be between 2 and 6 cities of different sizes (1 to 8 spaces). Estate No. 1, for example, has 4 cities: one 1-size, one 5-size and two 3-size. The best part for me is the wonderful design and the amazing amount of stuff you can do with your two dice. They represent a wealth of choices, and if you plan in advance you will have many ‘yes!’ moments.
