About this deal

These are dual mode earbuds with both a music mode and a gaming mode. A triple touch to the left or right earbud will change it from Music to Gaming mode. There is a lovely lady who will tell you when you’ve moved from music to gaming mode. Our servers are getting hit pretty hard right now. To continue shopping, enter the characters as they are shown The headphones feature Bluetooth 5.2 and are compatible with SBC and AAC codecs. They also work in the dual-host mode, so we can use one or both headphones automatically (without configuring anything on the mobile). Putting the device through the Geekbench 5 benchmark test, it returned a multi-core score of 3,531. This marks it out as one of the most powerful phones with this chipset, beating the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus by around 100 points and the Xiaomi 12, OnePlus 10 Pro and Oppo Find X5 Pro by even more. First impressions on the hardware is good. They are well made, the case is well designed and everything about this thing screams GAMING!!

When fully charged, all six of the case’s green LEDs are lit, and the case looks even more sci-fi. The earbuds themselves provide about 5 hours of use, and the charging case will boost this to about 20 total hours of listening time. In practice I found this to be accurate. My daily use of the earbuds consisted of wearing them during a workout for about 1 hour, then using them to listen to a podcast or audiobook for another 30 minutes to an hour. With the charging case as their booster, the earbuds lasted almost a full week before I had to charge the case again. As mentioned above, both the earbuds and their charging case look cool, with a sort of 80s retro sci-fi style.Making hands-free calls at my house, people haven’t even noticed that I was talking through the hands-free; they thought I was talking directly to the phone. The voice is heard clearly and powerfully. Battery listening time: Up to 5 hours of listening time on the earbuds and up to 20 hours of listening time with the charging case In normal mode (music mode), there is a slight delay between the image and the sound while watching videos or playing video games, but when you activate the game mode, the image and sound are entirely synchronized. Sound Speaking of calls, you won’t be using these buds just for gaming or media. They sound decent enough though a tad bit faint which is to be expected of microphones so far from your mouth. They will get you through a phone/ video call or Discord chat without any problem though. The Bluetooth connection is relatively stable, and I have not had cuts or interference at reasonable distances. The maximum range of these BS-T1s is medium, they allow me to move a couple of rooms away from my computer, but when I get to the kitchen, I lose signal (like most similar headphones).

This is helped by the presence of pop-up physical triggers along the right edge of the phone, which can be assigned a function for your game, to turn your smartphone into a device that more resembles a gaming controller. This setup delivers quite an advantage in games. The bottom end is round and deep – definitely sculpted to be present. Easily matches the AirPods Pro for feeling in the lower frequencies but you have to make sure you get them deeply seated in your ear. If there is even a small leak in the seal you’ll lose the deep and fat bass frequencies. They’re not bad for music, and that’s a real bonus but if you’re keen on earphones for gaming, these are a great choice. The key one of these is the presence of Shark Space, a pre-installed app – when you open this, you’re shown a carousel of all the games installed on your device. Playing the titles through the app delivers lots of extra options. You can select to mute or limit notifications or calls, set the balance between processing power and battery conservation, map the triggers and do many, many more similar things. The length of the buds is really nice and I’d say while not as comfortable as my AirPod Pros they are super light and will be comfortable for long listening sessions or gaming sessions.

Mids in my opinion sounded better on the gaming audio setting, they were a little more forward in the sound signature. The earbuds have a very compact design and ergonomic shape which I’ll discuss further below. The earbuds include three sizes of silicone tips. As someone with large ear canals, I’d have preferred them to have perhaps a fourth, larger set of earbuds. I’ll talk more about the fit of the earbuds a bit further down in this review. These earbuds are equipped with the ability to toggle between “Music” mode and “Gaming” mode by triple-tapping either earbud’s touch control. I wasn’t sure which mode was supposed to be which, but each did produce a very different sound. One mode sounded a bit tinnier, with sharp highs and mid-range, but little to no base. The other mode sounded a bit more muffled, with mostly mid-range and some base, but almost no highs. Generally speaking, I found the tinnier mode to be better for listening to music and podcasts, and I didn’t have much use for the more muffled mode. The microphone for calls isn't located at the tip of the stem like on most stem style earbuds. It is located on the outer front side of the stem at the bottom. The call quality is good for indoor calls.

The box is charged via a USB-C port located on the rear. And, no, it doesn’t have wireless charging. It also does not have the typical 4 LEDs that indicate the remaining battery level, but the front LED will blink 3 times every 5 seconds when the charge level of the box is low. Musically they are more than up to task considering the lower price point. You can choose between the dual modes for gaming or music with a triple tap on the earbuds. Each headset mounts a 40 mAh battery with which we can enjoy 7.5 hours of autonomy at medium volume. The box has a 400 mAh battery, allowing us to charge the headphones about 3.5 times, so the total battery life exceeds 30 hours.

I mentioned earlier in the review that, as someone with large ear canals who typically needs large ear tips for earbuds to stay secure in my ears, I would have preferred perhaps a fourth larger size. While the largest size tips held the earbuds in my ears satisfactorily, they constantly felt like they were going to fall out, which was a bit unnerving. Yet even during intense exercise with a significant amount of sweat dripping into my ears, the earbuds did stay put. Also, almost every time I wore them, one would fit fine, but I’d have to spend time getting the other in just the right spots that it would both stay in and I could hear sound from it. It’s hard to overstate how useful this feature will be for certain users. Plugging in the device while you’re having your morning shower will top up the device with enough charge to see you through the whole day; or, if you’re running low on juice in the evening, just five minutes of power will get you over the finish line. Bluetooth 5.2: With Bluetooth 5.2 the Lucifer T1 Bluetooth earphones give a very solid connection even when you might be surrounded by competiting fequencies. This means your connection to your device is solid and won’t break or drop, even when you’re in busy cafes, trains, gaming halls or planes. The headphones are fitted with 10mm diameter dynamic drivers, more extensive than other similar headphones. My first impression of this earbud set was that it felt a bit fragile. As in, if I dropped the case from any appreciable height, it would shatter. However, throughout the review period, I did drop them a couple of times and was relieved to find that they remained intact. Answer a call: we must tap on any headset while we are receiving a call. During the call, a touch will make us hang up. It is a light, comfortable headset with a game mode and is perfect hands-free. In addition, its design is very daring and original. But its sound is dim, and the touch controls do not allow you to control the volume. The sound of the earbuds is…complicated. For starters, these earbuds are billed as “gaming” earbuds. I’m not quite sure what that is supposed to mean. What is clear is that Bass you can feel was the first thing they briefed the audio technicians on for this build. Sound
