Keratosis Pilaris (KP) is a common skin condition that causes dry, rough patches and tiny bumps. First Aid Beauty's fast-acting KP body scrub reveals healthier-looking skin with Glycolic and Lactic Acids at a combined level of 10% to help loosen skin's top layer while also decongesting pores with pumice buffing beads, delivering the benefits of a chemical peel and micro-dermabrasion treatment in one. Editor Tip: While the Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion is a staple, Mamina Turegano, MD, a board-certified dermatologist in Louisiana, also recommends the Rapid Relief Restoring Lotion, which pairs 15% exfoliating lactic acid with three types of ceramides to intensely hydrate skin.

Why It's Worth It: Like many of the products on this list, U Beauty's Resurfacing Body Compound contains a trifecta of chemical exfoliants. In this particular formula, you'll spot mandelic, glycolic, and lactic acids all working their texture-transforming wonders. Exfoliating- Several times a week by the usage of physical and chemical exfoliation. I typically use alternate between the First Aid Beauty KP Eraser (10% AHA) and The Ordinary Glycolic Toning Solution (7% AHA). Just be careful not to use too many exfoliating products at once. If you’re using a mixture of the two, you will not need any other acid based exfoliators in your routine. First Aid Beauty's KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA sweeps away dry, rough bumps associated with KP & strawberry skin, to reveal healthier skin. Discover effortlessly smooth skin with the Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub from First Aid Beauty. The body scrub features 10% alpha hydroxy acid, a chemical exfoliant that works to remove dead skin cells and visible bumps. I really think it’s a good idea to treat this routine as I would with my face. Being that I use actives and acids on my face, I also make sure to use a great sunscreen. I apply this same rule to my body. I don’t have a particular body sunscreen that I use religiously. But I do think if you’re using acids on the body, it would be best to limit your exposure to the skin.ESSENTIAL! I've had little bumps on my arms, thighs, butt, and hips for my entire life. If you're reading this review, you probably get them too. Sometimes they go away on their own, but most of the time they are there, just waiting for me to feel them and be self-conscious. The First Aid Beauty KP Bump Eraser Body Scrub with 10% AHA delivers the benefits of a chemical peel and micro-dermabrasion treatment in one. Glycolic and Lactic Acids at a combined level of 10% help loosen skin’s top layer and decongest pores with Pumice Buffing Beads that whisks it all away. Disclaimer : Please keep in mind this a routine that works for me. At this point my body is pretty resilient when using actives. For those that are new to using actives in their body care products, I would highly recommend patch testing along with starting off slow. For me this semi-aggressive routine has helped me to diminish my KP and achieve very smooth skin in the process. First Aid Beauty is a PETA certified cruelty-free brand; they do not test any of their products on animals. The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream (right in the image above) is known for being great to use from head to toe. The cream is light weight but yet still very moisturizing. Many people love using this cream on their face, but I prefer to use it on my body. The Ultra Repair Cream is formulated with great ingredients like squalene, Colloidal Oatmeal, Shea Butter and Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, which are all known to be nourishing to the skin. This has been a great cream to apply after using the glycolic solution as I feel that it helps to keep skin moisturized longer.

The First Aid Beauty KP Eraser is more hybrid body scrub as it is formulated with 10% AHA (Glycolic and Lactic Acid), Pumice buffing beads and Bisabolol, which is known for its skin healing properties. The texture of the scrub feels extremely grainy and a little coarse. Even with that being said, I didn’t find the scrub to be too harsh on the skin. The directions call for the scrub to be used 1-2x a week. I typically use it twice a week and haven’t noticed any sensitivity to my skin while doing so. The KP Eraser has to be one of the best scrubs that I ever tried. This is a product that I plan to continuing purchasing. The solution is recommended to be used only at night due to it being an acid-based product. As previously mentioned, I use this on body several times a week. Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs): Plant or synthetically-derived acids that exfoliate and visibly refine texture

Why It's Worth It: This body scrub takes a slightly different approach from others: While it contains lactic acid, as many do, it pairs that with pomegranate enzyme ferment, which is a gentler alternative to exfoliating acids. That makes it milder but no less effective. It also offers a physical exfoliant, with exfoliating beads to slough off dead skin. Together, they help skin feel smooth and buttery-soft, but not at all dry. Great for stretch marks with regular use!!! I’ve been using this for the past 3 months (2x a week) to help with KP and razor bumps on my things. Editor Tip: Since this contains heavy-duty acids, start by using it a few times a week, then work your way up to daily use.If that sounds drying, no sweat: Sunflower seed oil helps replenish moisture and support the skin barrier.)
