The bundle tested and shown here is the CM06 computer mount, which is different than their other mounts in that it has the quarter-turn tabs built into the bottom of it. This one also works with any compatible headlight, making it an easy way to add (and remove) a light if you’re not running a cycling computer. The Forevercam Handlebar Mount is an extremely durable full metal GoPro handlebar mount. This mount is made with aluminum alloy, which provides a lightweight yet durable build. In addition, it features an off-center camera mount with a 360-degree rotatable head. The 830 is smaller than some and leaves more of the mount visible, sitting further from the bar than it could. Some proprietary mounts have alternate sizes to keep devices close to the handlebar, but the KOM has more length, measuring 84mm from the centre of the handlebar to the device mount's centre. That might bother some, but personally, as long as my Garmin's top is horizontal, and level with the top of the handlebar, I'm happy, and in this respect the KOM mount succeeds.
My main criticism of this camera is that the 360-degree swivel doesn’t let you set any position. This is because it has specific stops about 20 to 25 degrees apart. So although you can technically swivel it 360 degrees, it doesn’t offer truly precise viewing angles. Some mounts have a screw system, some are clamps, and some are a combination of the two. Considering the additional functionality offered by the CM06 kit, and the potential handlebar space savings to be made by mounting your GoPro or front light beneath your GPS unit, the KOM Cycling mount is a worthy contender for your bike, and reasonably priced. Verdict Most Garmin Edge, Forerunner, and Touring models, including the new Garmin Edge 830, Edge 820, Edge 530, Edge 520, Edge 20, and Edge 25 models (Edge 1030 and Edge 1000 fits on the longer XL mount)In terms of build quality, this mount is made with waterproof materials.
