About this deal

A] cunningly constructed psychological thriller.... This is a masterpiece of misdirection." ( Publishers Weekly, starred review) A news presenter and a police detective are brought together by murders in the British village where they both grew up. Some truly terrible things had happened in Anna's village and I definitely think she was in the right to leave it far behind. Regrettably, we all know buried secrets seldom stay buried. MANY thanks to NetGalley, Flatiron Books, and the incredible Alice Feeney for an ARC of this book! FINALLY available in the US as of 7/28!* Cleverly plotted and tightly written, this deliciously dark thriller will leave readers breathless… Feeney’s best book yet’ Daily Express

All lead messy and imperfect lives, but where other reviewers disliked them-I actually felt sorry for them and was hoping they would eventually find their way...Narration was fine, but just such an unwholesome and unpleasant listen, I feel like I could do with a shower to get the grime off!

Nevertheless, I enjoyed His & Hers. It’s heart-racing. It’s addictive. It’s (mostly) smart. And it undoubtedly falls on the better end of the thriller spectrum. First off, not about the book but about the narration - it was super easy to realise who the killer was as though the voice was distorted, through the intonation and rhythm as well as some heavy handed tips.I have never been played by an unreliable narrator quite like the way His & Hers did me. I must say I’m impressed—even though I also feel like I need to suspend my disbelief. Everything makes perfect sense in the end, but . . . So maybe she won’t get away with it… But as a commenter pointed out, she has a “friendship” bracelet for Priya all ready to go. So maybe she will!!

This gripping Adult Thriller follows three perspectives: his, hers and a mystery individual, that could be him, it could be her, or it could be someone else entirely. His & Hers is a twisty, smart psychological thriller. A gripping tale of suspense, told by expertly drawn narrators that will keep listeners guessing until the very end. A] cunningly constructed psychological thriller...This is a masterpiece of misdirection." -- Publishers Weekly, starred review Maybe I’m a liar too. I chose this career because I wanted to tell the truth. I wanted to tell the stories that mattered most, the ones that I thought people needed to hear. Stories that I hoped might change the world and make it a better place. But I was naïve. People working in the media today have more power than politicians, but what good is trying to tell the truth about the world when I can’t bear to be honest about my own story: who I am, where I came from, what I’ve done. Special thanks to NetGalley and Flatiron Books for sharing one of the best ARCS I’ve ever read this year an exchange my honest review!

In short, No One and I mean, no one can be trusted. Gotta Love Alice Feeney, she sure knows how to keep us on our toes!

Alice Feeney is a British novelist of the 21st century, writing in the mystery and thriller genres. Alice writes the twisty sort of novel that leaves you breathless and unsure about everything and everyone... Warning – could cause sleepless nights!’ Adele Parks, Platinum
