About this deal

But the big question would be, does the small device also mean a smaller capacity battery? We don’t have the answer to this question yet. We couldn’t find battery capacity information from Therabody.

Therabody came up with a great idea to make the entry-level model of its Theragun range accessible but not cheap, a fine line to walk indeed. Once you let go of the concept that percussion massagers are for athletes only, you will realise how convenient the Theragun Mini is. We noticed the battery drains faster when pressure is applied. The speed gear used also impacts the time on battery, just not as much as applying pressure.

Because of individual state regulations, some of the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. Each massage gun was trialled for a three-week period, used to prime and relieve our experts' muscles around their fitness-filled schedule of weightlifting, HIIT, running, yoga and more.It comes with 4 excellent-quality attachments, and a hard carrying case. The new mini only has a pouch. The Bantam is more suited to a more intensive massage than the mini 2. For an aggressive massage, you can press it harder against the muscle (even large muscle groups). Theragun mini 2 feels more like it’s meant to glide over the skin without applying pressure. Therabody worked on the size, weight, charging type, noise, and connectivity. In our opinion, they did a much better job than the guys at Hyperice. The Hypervolt Go 2 felt nearly identical to the older Go.

Stall force is the gun’s ability to withstand pressure without stalling. When you need a deep tissue massage 2, sometimes you have to press the gun against the muscle. After testing this new device, we can say that it’s somewhat worth its weight in gold, despite a few caveats. In our opinion, after extensively testing both, it provides better value for money than its predecessor. Harnessing percussive therapy (basically pummelling muscles to massage the tissue without a masseuse) to speed recovery and help to ease persistent pain, Theragun mini is perfectly portable perfect for kit bags or taking on travels. Inside there is a small pouch for the gun. It’s the same as the one with the old device, but smaller. The only visual difference is the logo. It’s Therabody now, not Theragun. Accessories There are four devices in the latest Theragun range: the Theragun Mini, Theragun Prime, Theragun Elite and Theragun Pro.

To turn on the Theragun mini, firmly press and hold for 2 seconds the multi-functional power/speed button on the right side of the device. Similarly to the Theragun Mini, the Hyperice Hypervolt GO 2 is a portable massage gun, albeit with a more standard massage gun shape. It's not quite as powerful as the full-size Hypervolt 2 and 2 Pro, and you also miss out on Bluetooth connectivity, but these are things most non-professional athletes can live without. A great no-compromise entry-level massage gun. When we reviewed mini 1, we discussed how the unique design was something to appreciate. However, despite the genius idea, it wasn’t the most comfortable device to hold. The sleek, sturdy device has four interchangeable heads (a bullet, a fork, a flat head and a soft head) and five oomph-inducing speed settings for more targeted recovery. The brand boldly claims it reaches 60% deeper into muscles than standard massage guns to banish deep-set aches and pains. Sure enough, it worked wonders on our tester’s sore, knotted muscles. They even felt a difference after just one use. We believe the set would’ve been perfect if Therabody included the Wedge head instead of the Dampener, and the Cone instead of the Thumb. This is because the Wedge is perfect for scraping muscles, while the Cone is great for treating trigger points. The rounded Thumb just can’t do what the Cone can.

The new 2 nd generation mini hasn’t changed, at least not as far as the design goes. In fact, you could easily mistake it for the mini 1. The 2 nd generation Theragun mini how it compares to the 1 st generation mini. Some of the noteworthy accessories include the Duo-adapter (it saves time) and Supersoft attachment refills (just the top, foamy part). The Duo Adapter and Supersoft attachment are the best additions worth buying for the mini. So does the new Theragun mini have enough juice? Yes, under normal usage, the battery should last you a few days. Is this the best battery performance among mini massage guns? No, it’s not. We believe Ekrin Bantam can give you twice the performance provided here.

For starters, it weighs the same 1.1 pounds as the new generation Theragun mini. But the shapes are different, and the Bantam has way better performance aspects than the new Theragun mini. The Therabody app has recently been launched and mainly functions as a library of routines you can follow using your Theragun device. Some models can even connect to the app using Bluetooth, not the mini, though, but you can still follow the 'protocols' – as the app puts it – manually.
