About this deal

What is contemporary romance? It's a rom This is a group for discussing books and authors of adult contemporary romances between a male and a female. Before bedtime: Many people find that reading before bedtime helps them unwind and relax, which can promote better sleep. I’ve never read a book by @kbromberg and after reading this book I’ll definitely scope out some more! Let’s get into what I loved about it— As their adult lives come crashing together like a storm will Vince and Bristol be able to overcome the secrets that were kept as well as the secrets that were just revealed or will their love just be a Sweet Regret.

I don’t know what to do so I kiss him again. Soft and slow and unknowingly try to give him everything he needs but won’t say that he does. While there may not be any other woman drama or cheating, Vince does sleep around during the period of time he and Bristol were apart. I mean, a lot. His excuse is that he was trying to get over her any way possible. There’s a lot of self-sabotage with him bringing himself down to the point where he actually believes he is incapable and unworthy of love. Crew Madden—and his sweet daughters—entered her life with a bang. She learned how to laugh again, to love again, something she never thought would be possible. I—I don’t understand.” Emotion balls in my throat and chills chase over my skin. “You can’t go. We have plans.” I shake my head as if the action will help this make sense. It doesn’t. “But you—”

I absolutely adore these two! Both are strong in their own ways and soft in others in a way that compliments them perfectly. I felt like I spent most of the book holding my breath, waiting for Vince to find out the secret and when he did... ugh! Despite the groupies, the success, the fun, life under the bright glare of fame and fortune isn’t enough. New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate but can’t help to love.

Review: I'm not gonna lie this cover is what first drew me into this book! Um...HELLO!😏 Then I kept seeing such good things about it, add in the Single Dad trope(which I am LOVING right now), and I knew I had to dive in! This is my favorite K. Bromberg book to date!

Never does K Bromberg let me down! Every time I put on one of her books, I am pulled in and living in the story. This second chance romance is so good, I listened straight through and could not stop. Vince and Bristol were a couple in high school, only to have Vince leave his abusive home to follow his dream. Several years later, the two meet again, only this time, they get together to get some closure. Now it's seven years later, and Vince's life is a mess. Pushing away all those he loves, he is going to focus on a solo career, and who will be his agent? Why Bristol! She is not prepared for this and when he is assigned to her, all the feelings she has suppressed come to forefront. He too has never gotten over her. But she has a secret that can surely destroy what fragile love they still have to build on. Can these two ever find their happily ever after? Love, love, love this! From the innocence of the teen years to the difficulty of adulting, I found myself feeling each and every emotion these two had. It's sweet and painful, and oh, the family scenes! Be still my heart. It's a wonderful book and one that will fill your heart too!

Sweet Regret Summary

New York Times Bestselling author K Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate but can’t help to love. It seems like I am always praising K. Bromberg‘s writing, but there’s a reason for that. Whenever she goes for a trope, she always produces a story that’s so much more. So if you one of those people who can’t stand a secret baby, you might want to reconsider on this one. Put together a woman with secrets and a dangerous past, and a protector at heart, and you should get an intense romantic suspense. Instead–and it’s an arguable choice but not out of place–the author chooses to focus on Tennyson and Crew’s relationship. Scenes of domesticity, or the way Crew slowly opens up to Tennyson and she pushes him to mingle more with the townsfolk.

this. book. my heart was in its grip since the prologue. i loved this book. i loved this book to pieces, my gosh it was so good. Vince and Bristol always had an undeniable chemistry, a loved that’s survived every since high school, but there’s things that have kept them apart…things in his past that caused there distance for years and years, I understood the whole troubled childhood, abusive father etc that Vince (H) had and was going through, but he did not deserve Bristol (h). He didn't deserve chances after chances from her, he was just so self destructive. 🙄 Also I got that he had issues to do with his childhood in his twenties, but then he was 30, WITH THE SAME ISSUES. With the same self destructiveness, that it was just annoying and frustrating to read about. Such a miserable idiot. Your different is your beautiful, Shug. It always has been for me. It always will be for me.” — Sweet Regret by K. Bromberg He’s been like this before when whatever happens at his house . . . happens. He’s come to me not wanting to talk but needing my company. He’s come to me with a swollen cheek or busted lip but has refused to explain other than to play it off with a “you should’ve seen the other guy” type of comment.

I loved the Synopis of this book. But this was utterly disappointing to me. This was the first time that I believed, that the h was correct in hiding her pregnancy from the H. Because if this was real, and I was her, I would've done the same. 🙄🙄 Bristol is so relatable, and it's so easy to understand her mindset when it comes to Vince. She's afraid to put hope there, but it's so beautiful when she's finally able to do that and it doesn't fall apart. The last few chapters especially had me by the heart, and I was so happy at the end. Crew. Gahhhhh. He’s a cop, a good dad who loves his kids, and a romantic at heart. I loved that he had alpha tendencies, but wasn’t overbearing. sweet regret was an emotionally charged, heartbreakingly beautiful second chance romance with an abundance of feels. i couldn’t get enough of bristol and vince and of their whirlwind of a well fought second chance. they both deserved all the happiness in the world and i’m so glad they made it through. Bristol is an independent girl boss. Say what you wanna say, but truthfully, I stand by the idea that her making the decision to keep Jagger a secret was the best. Would I sleep with his father after having him, knowing I have no intentions of sharing his existence? Probably not, but it was for the plot. While I, like Vince, wish she stood her ground with her boss, a lot of us women have been there, done that. It’s a lot easier said than done.
