About this deal

The beaded approach is the second method of applying tinsel. Hair professionals use the beaded system when installing tinsel extensions on fine hair, as the beads have an extra grip. One at a time, tie a regular knot with each of the two strands of tinsel and the hair you have attached to ensure the tinsel stays in place. You can repeat this a few times. Step #7 Top tip: If you notice the tinsel slipping, ask your client to hold onto the end of the bobby pin whilst you do the first few transitions with your tinsel piece. Stop slightly below the roots and then use your needle nose pliers to clamp the microbead closed. Trim the ends and you’re done! This technique is a little more challenging, but it works well on any hair type.

To add more tinsel, simply continue to add your tinsel in the same manner, inserting it under the braid and asking your client to hold the end of the bobby pin to keep it in place as you continue to braid down the hair. Microbead tinsel extensions last a lot longer, from 6-12 months. You can keep the tinsel in for this duration. Or, remove the microbead extensions with needle nose pliers when you’re ready by pinching the sides of the microbead and sliding it off. Does hair tinsel damage your hair? Won’t damage hair: Tinsel is attached to your hair with tiny hand-tied knots or adjustable microbead links. Neither of these options will damage your hair as long you follow the directions and avoid tugging on the tinsel once it’s in place. That’s a much healthier option than permanent hair color!

Hold the separated strand(s) up and pull them through the opening in the tinsel knot you’ve tied. Pull the two loose ends of the tinsel apart to tighten the slip knot fully. Nano rings are similar to microbeads but smaller. Their small size makes them perfect for thin or fine hair, as they are less visible than tape-in glitter extensions. They last about three or four months with regular maintenance.

Prep your client's hair with a gel to tame any flyaways and to help give some control to the hair. This will make your sectioning much neater and the overall look will be more polished. Take a strand of tinsel and fold it over to that it’s doubled with a loop at the top. Then at the top loop, tie a slip knot that is open enough to place your index and thumb through it. Step #4 It’s also a lot less time-consuming than the tie-in technique if you want a lot of sparkle in your strands! The tinsel extensions will stay in a lot longer – 6 to 12 months – when you use the microbead technique as well. Maintaining your hair tinsel will help it last longer and look better. Here’s what you need to know to keep your tinsel shining bright! Step 5 : Finish your braid all the way to the end of the hair, securing with a clear elastic band and trimming the tinsel so that it is the same length as the natural hair.

Take a strand (or a few) of tinsel and hold it alongside a few strands of your hair. Don’t take hair too close to the hairline for better-blended extensions. To tape in the hair tinsel, you’ll need scissors, a hair tinsel kit, and a comb. Wash and dry your hair. Do not use an oil-based product when preparing your hair for the tape-in. Avoid excessive brushing to help your tinsel last longer and shampoo less frequently. The less stress and strain you can put on your roots, the longer your tinsel will stay in! If you did microbead tinsel extensions, they’ll last longer and stay in place better if you avoid oily products while they’re in. Oil can make the microbeads slip and lose their grip on your hair, causing the tinsel extensions to fall out. This may be longer pending receipt of piece if it needs to be returned for further investigation. Cancellation
