As I mentioned earlier in this review, the Capture Clip can be of use wherever you might imagine attaching it. Mainly, I see its application in landscape or event photography. I furthermore see it as an alternative for harness systems, which are often used for events like weddings or portrait sessions.Plus I always feel like a National Geographic photographer or something when I press the release button down and whip the camera out of its holster. Versatility The idea of banging my camera or lens on a table or door frame is most unsettling. Belt-Mounted at the Inside of the Leg It makes sense: Engineering anything that is load-bearing should incorporate multiple factors of safety. In other words, you never design something to carry the exact weight you need. You want multiple times higher capacity. The strength rating is reassuring in this respect. In all my use of this product, it has never failed, and I’ve never sensed that it might. I’ve learned to trust it, which is an important feeling to have for equipment like this. The Capture Clip, when used on the belt, can provide a super-stable lens changing platform. Simply put the camera on vertically (it’ll look “sideways”). The Capture Clip will hold it in place perfectly for your lens change. First of all, you have the two camera plates: the standard ARCA Swiss compatible plate and the dual plate that’s Manfrotto (RC2) compatible. (Because of the geometry, this one is only a two-way entry, not a four-way.)

You won’t be seeing us doing jump ropes while we have a DSLR strapped on anytime soon, though brisk walks are a cinch to us now. If you’re like me, you’ll just leave the plate on the camera for 90% of the time. Just note that this means it won’t sit flat on a surface any more. It's now the third generation of this device. Why are they doing their R&D at the cost of customers? Okay, basically all R&D departments are not working for free, but some come to market with finished products. Examples?
