What we don’t want you to go and do is buy a soundbar. I can't get a picture at all in the van and had a poor pic quality at home when testing due to signal problems so this doesn't pull in a good reception. Never tried to use it for recording and the instructions are fairly complex. It seems that you can use a variety of devices for recording through the usb port and it does refer to the use of a portable hard disc but I believe flash drive should work. Looking for tv recommendations, our van is on a seasonal super pitch so 12 v not essential, I'm looking for a 24” tv with decent sound and picture also smart tv option would be great but not a deal breaker as we have various dongle type devices. More and more televisions are being manufactured with DVB-T receivers built in and this removes the necessity for an external set-top box.
