All the different story links and characters are confusing too. Again, this screams that there has to be a second book. If not more. Throughout the entirety of the book, the author does an excellent job of developing the characters and analyzing the driving forces behind their actions. Grayson is a complicated and multidimensional character who is torn between his duties as the alpha and his feelings for Belle.
