Naturally, care needs to be taken while handling tools made more than half a century ago. But in general, SX-70s should be able to handle normal operation without falling apart. No other vintage or modern Polaroid camera comes close to the SX-70 or the I-2 in terms of image quality. The lenses on those do leave something to be desired compared to higher end cameras, but at least you have a split image to help with focus and also a decent amount of contrast on the screen to see whether or not it's in focus.
