You may find one size Easter egg from a brand is gluten free, while a different size has a 'may contain' warning.

As usual, M&S remains the place where you’ll find the most unique Easter eggs that can’t be found anywhere else!However, if you’d like a gluten-free Easter sweet treats post including those separately, or a separate gluten-free and dairy-free Easter egg post them please let me know! Have you found any other gluten free Easter eggs or noticed any changes to this list since it was published? Most plain chocolate eggs are free from gluten but sadly some have 'may contain' warnings which mean they are not coeliac-safe. Generally, most of these eggs are found in the seasonal aisle of supermarkets, but you will often find the gluten-free and dairy-free eggs down the free from aisle. Easter Eggs and chocolates that are dairy free I have labelled DAIRY FREE at the beginning of their caption. I will also place these all into a separate post to make it more clear too.

There’s actually a lot to choose from, including some more exotic options like the Booja-Booja eggs. I’ll let you discover the price of those for yourself though… just make sure you’re sitting down first! After the egg on toast slab, the remaining three eggs can be found down the free from aisle as they’re both gluten-free AND dairy-free.If you're not avoiding dairy, many 'normal' Easter eggs are free from gluten-containing ingredients anyway. I was pleasantly surprised with the gluten free easter egg options in Lidl. They actually had quite a lot in comparison to Aldi. I've swept the supermarket shelves of Asda, Co-Op, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose to find all the Easter eggs which are gluten free.There’s a small Milkybar Easter egg in this post that’s gluten-free. However, other Milkybar eggs in other sizes are NOT gluten-free.

As I mentioned, most of these are down the seasonal Easter aisle so it can be a literal Easter egg hunt to find the right ones. So make sure you allow yourself enough time to make sure you’ve got the ones pictured which are safe for us to eat. Important note: In 2022 the Mini Eggs Bar was gluten free, but now (2023) it has a 'may contain' warning and is NOT suitable for people with coeliac disease) There isn’t as much on offer for us as there is in Tesco, but you will spot a few eggs here that you won’t find outside of Sainsburys so it’s definitely worth a look.Or drop me a comment at the bottom of this blog post and I can add them to this list!
