Available colours: Clear/Light, Antique Brown, Cherry, Forest Brown, Jacobean, Rugger Brown, Stripped Pine Light Brown – Mainly used on lighter timbers that you want to add a subtle shade and warmth to the grain of the wood.

For best results, we recommend cleaning the surface first using Priory Polish Reviver using very fine wire wool. This will remove the dirt, grease ready for treatment of the wax finish. This will also give you the best sheen and add to the depth of the colour and finish. As each piece of timber is unique, there may be slight colour variations throughout your furniture, and even on a single board, as the wax/stain is applied.For previously finished woods (especially on antique furniture) I would recommend using a polish reviver first and then finish with Fiddes Mellow Wax Furniture Polish. Cherry – This is a warm shade ideal for use on Mahogany, Rosewood, Cherry or any wood that needs a warm red rich finish. When maintaining pre-waxed wood it is advisable to use a clear wax (Fiddes have a very lightly tinted wax called 'Light' for paler, wood coloured surfaces and a wax with no pigment at all called 'Clear' for painted surfaces or for surfaces which require no colour change). Additional coats offer an improved patina and overall durability. Fresh wax coats can be applied annually or as required. Repair Solid Oak Mantle Beams are hand carved, sanded and ready to fit with a colour finish of your choice. Choose a solid oak mantel to finish the contemporary or traditional look of your fireplace. Surfaces treated with Fiddes Supreme Wax Polish can be dry wiped with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove surface dust. For minor surface stains, scuffs and marks, wipe with a slightly dampened (not wet) cloth with water and Fiddes Floor Surface Cleaner.

On bare or stripped woods, Sand the surface to a smooth finish in the direction of the grain. Stain the wood if necessary. On open grained woods, you can stain and seal using a Shellac Sealer, but this is optional. Apply the Supreme wax using very fine 0000 wire wool or buffing cloth in the direction of the grain and allow soaking into the wood. Remove any excess and then once dry, buff to the desired sheen level. Several coats may be added to build further sheen and protection. This can be used on all bare interior woods or furniture. Our floating shelves are only suitable for solid walls and providing they are installed into this surface with the fitting’s supplied, they can hold up to 35kg. Fiddes Supreme Wax is almost odour free, applies easily and once polished to the desired sheen level, gives a depth of finish that revives and protects any original shiny surface while preserving the patina. The Clear / Light variant is suitable for use as a final finish after using Fiddes Liming Wax.Rugger Brown- a rich oak colour and the final finish will vary from a medium to a dark oak look depending on the timber used. Jacobean – This wax is very dark so ideal on darker period Oak antique furniture or any timber That you want to add a dark tone.
