The power dynamics and push and pull between these two was addicting. Their banter was hilarious and the sexual tension was STRONG. I sat down and read this in one sitting and enjoyed every bit of the ride. The relationship on the emotional side was a bit of a slow burn but the sexual tension broke very fast so who am I to complain.

However, Alessio has a secret, that he's hoping won't come to light. If it does, it'll drive away the one person he's found worth caring for. His one weakness. I also like the age gap between Francesca and Fausto. It's not creepy in any way. Most of the time you don't even realize there is an age gap or the fact that he has a son the same age as Francesca. Wally's future has already been decided for him. Mila took a character I didn’t even know if I could root for and now i’m desperate for more moments in his mind. Giulio was once heir to the biggest mafia empire in Europe, his father is Fausto (the hero of books 1 and 2) and we saw why and when Giulio fled from his family’s home in the previous books. Giulio has been kind of on the run since, after not being accepted by some of the heads of families in their mafia world because of his sexuality and he’s been wanting to make his own way since. Alessio is a sniper assassin who was hired to take out Giulio but can’t seem to pull the trigger when he has him in his sights. So we see Alessio following his target, Giulio all around Europe and their very lust-filled infatuation with one another. They decide on a temporary truce for one month to enjoy one another!I think the biggest problem for me was the writing style. I wasn’t a fan of it, I even wanted to dnf it at the beginning for that reason. It might also be only me, but the Italian made me cring in some moments. It’s not about the language itself, but the sentences the main characters said. What a powerfully emotive and grippingly suspenseful finale to perhaps the most epic love story from Giana Darling to date! Lush with emotions, enthralling and passionate from beginning to end, I never wanted Elena and Dante’s story to end. Yet I was desperate to know just how they’d find their HEA. Just what happens when two self-proclaimed villains fall in love? They become each other’s heroes.
