Deviant King is the first book in a series, so be prepared for a cliffhanger ending. I got enough answers for me to not feel super frustrated by it, but it still left me reeling. I can't wait for the next installment, Steel Princess! Hopefully, we finally get some of Aiden's POV, because so far, the story has been in Elsa's entirely. This book was written in British English and the phrases like 'areshole' 'shagging' too many of them were used. It was horrible experience to read in British. Aiden King is the most popular guy on campus. He is dark and broody and doesn't talk much. The four of them (Ronan Astor, Cole Nash, Xander Knight and 'the mighty king' himself) are also known as the 'Four Horseman.' They are the golden boys of the town and loved by all.

I destroy everything but this is the first time I want to keep something instead of shattering it to pieces Astrid did not disappoint. God so glad that she was not those girl who easily opened their legs for there 'bullies' 😂love how she made him crave for her. I loved catching up with the previous couples and seeing how their lives have changed, thanks to love, children, and good communications. It gives us hope, as well as providing the reassurance and motivation that they both need. Amused me greatly that the Mayor still manages a cameo in this story. Delicious read from start to finish. Not that I would encourage anyone who actually IS 16 to read this. The relationship here is completely unhealthy and includes what most would consider full on sexual assault. Considering this book is an opener to this series it did really well. I loved everything about this book.The bosses can be very challenging, especially if you don't do any sidequests. The final boss specifically took me a few tries. He reaches out a forefinger and taps my nose twice. “Guess you have to fight me and find out what that something is.” All in all, T he Cruel King and the Great Hero is a touching storybook adventure full of heart and soul. Stunning hand-drawn visuals and animation cleverly create the charming storybook aesthetic that defines this game. As a protagonist, Yuu is a breath of fresh air, truly representing the innocence of a child. She’s cheerful, excitable and eager to help in any way she can, and the relationship between Yuu and the Dragon King goes to show that there is more to family than just blood. It’s not a game without its faults though. Slow movement and excessive random encounters can break the flow of the game and hinder your enjoyment. It’s also a little short for its price tag. I've been on quite the Rina Kent binge lately to say the least...but I didn't think I would try this series. I've been really loving her darker adult mafia-ish stuff and this is new adult and takes place in high school. So I wasn't all that drawn to it as I just haven't been into the YA/NA stuff lately.

I’ve read Truths & Lies duet by her and I think I marginally enjoyed it (because my previous self was less judgmental and critical and more open-minded, BUT my friends on GR have brought out this overly vicious side of me and I feel this inexplicable need to excoriate every HS book I read *growl* 👹) Everyone knows the mighty Aiden who isn't affected by much, but when Elsa joins RES, he is affected by her presence like an itch to scratch. spoiler alert: she never reported him for harassment and he just kept doing it AND still fell in love with the bAd EvIl BoY😍 #goalsI hate in some books how when the reader knows what the secrets are and the people who have the secrets don’t tell them to each other, so everything is about huge misunderstandings or just the fact that the main character(s) don’t really know the motivation behind certain things the other one does. This book doesn’t do that. The reader is as in the dark about the secrets as the character(s) who don’t know. Closure: This had a cute ending with pretty good closure. It includes a bonus scene after the epilogue that I appreciated, but the author offers another bonus scene for what I imagine is more closure if you sign up for her newsletter. I didn't do that. I'm going to classify this as a HFN ending they're engaged. The Dragon King is overprotective, but he knows that one day Yuu will achieve her dream, and he supports her to the best of his ability. He grants Yuu his blessing as she ventures out to explore the surrounding areas – if he secretly tags along to help her out, well, what Yuu doesn’t know won’t hurt her. He is considered as the most dangerous and cruel ruler in the history because he exercises greater political power than any dictator. He was responsible for the death of more than 20 million of its own people during his 29 years of rule.

Deviant King" is a dark high school bully romance in full meaning of those words and it isn't the book for everyone's taste. Okay lol. I avoided writing the review but then I couldn’t not vent about this book when I basically crawled through it fighting for my life jaksjdkdk

I loved everything about the design of The Cruel King and the Great Hero. Every element has been carefully hand-drawn with pen and watercolour. A whimsical score fits the mood perfectly, the two elements working in harmony to bring this storybook fairy tale to life. Separation: Yes They are separated a few times shortly, but there was no mention or suggestion of other partners during this time. CRUEL KING is a story of secrets and lies, passion and understanding, forgiveness and love. So I dove into Cruel King with the hope of satisfying my curiosity. It did not disappoint. In Cruel King Linde gave her readers a steamy, emotional and swoon worthy fake relationship and friends to lovers romance. Gavin and Whitley have been each other's wing man for many years, they don't have a typical friendship, they're flirty friends but it works for them. That is until they went on holiday three years ago and everything changed. The line they've been flirting with, they finally cross and it is so much more than they could of imagined. But when they return home, outside forces and Whitley's insecurities cause her to run to L.A which is where she stayed...until now! I admit that this book was addictive and I wanted to know what actually happened and is going to happen. But i also feel this book is very similar to Fear Me by B.B. Reid . I had fun revisiting this world and catching up with the characters from the previous books in this series. Characters from the author's Wright series also made a cameo appearance. The way this couple was re-introduced was funny as all get out it made us laugh out loud the belly laugh kind. The characters were supportive and amazing. Also, there is something going on with her friend Kim and Kim won’t talk about what it is, but it is the reason Kim has been an outcast even though she has known 90% of the students since middle school. Kim even lives right near Aiden and across the street from Aidens best friend Xander.

It’s a compelling story, but the script was a little simplistic, perhaps more suited to a younger audience. That’s not necessarily a bad thing – it just means it’s more accessible to a wider audience. Some of my fondest memories from childhood are of playing video games with my dad, and this seems like a perfect game for families.
