I didn’t add chopped mini eggs to the recipe like I do in my Mini Egg cheesecake because I found the recipe already had enough chocolate orange flavour – but you can add them if you wish! I do find the orange colour from the shells does leak badly though after some time. Beware of some of the vegan eggs that contain gluten free oat milk. Whilst you might see gluten free oat milk and think they are safe, they in fact are actually ‘may contain gluten’ so are still unsafe. Use separate utensils and dishes for condiments, jams and spreads. Never ‘double dip’ your utensils if spreading onto food containing gluten! Not with the mini eggs in them! Again, because of the dairy in the Terry’s chocolate orange mini eggs, this recipe isn’t vegan as it is. However, you can always substitute the mini eggs for broken-up dairy free chocolate orange bars like these.
