This guy IS Sin. He was absolutely hooked and totally invested in the outcome. I loved the dynamic that developed in the group. Everyone had to play their part, but Sin was undoubtedly the head of the family. Secrets are revealed and many mysteries are introduced. This story was raw, dark and intriguing. Honestly this series is so amazing and engaging so far and I can’t wait for the next book!

I’m not a huge fan of New Adult stories and although Ella is only 17 at the beginning of the book, by the time it ends a number of years have passed which I have to say pleased me. Initially brought out on the Kindle again, this would first come out in 2019 on the 26th of September to an already eager audience. This would also be the fifth book in the ‘Marry the Scot’ series of novels, featuring another passionate romance in the long-running collection. Featuring its own self-contained narrative, it’s the last in this particular series, although there are arcs and characters brought over from previous novels. Each of the novels features different members of the McRae family, with this featuring Ally, who is the youngest brother amongst them all. Many of Vines’ previous series are also integrated into each other, making her work feature different cameos for her long-time fans and readers. Scar aka Camden is on the lam with brothers and determined to reunite with his missing younger brotherOne of my complaints about the other books was the fact that the romance plot was too focused on sex. The relationship between the characters was mainly sex and we didn’t get more interactions between them. That didn’t happen here. Actually, there was almost no sex at all! There was a lot of sexual tension, but the main focus of the romance plot was their beginning to trust other people and explore. Always good seeing my bae Gordain in these books. Even though that series is separate it’s refreshing seeing them in this series too.

I enjoy the “I don’t like you but I can’t keep my hands off you” element and Sin was definitely in conflict with Lottie. We also saw an interesting kinky side to Sin that he wasn’t expecting. He was delicious. From an early age Jolie Vines would always be lost in her own imagination, so it made sense for her to invest herself in her writing. This would prove to be huge successful as time went on, as she’d show a gift for it, becoming a hugely entertaining writer herself. With a passion for strong heroes, she would develop her craft and style as an author, becoming a strong voice in the romance community.
