About this deal

Please note: Failure to produce the card and relevant ID means we are unable to release goods on collection. The Samsung QN94A supports ALLM ( Auto Low Latency Mode) for automatically switching to the TV’s lowest latency mode, VRR ( Variable Refresh Rate) for matching the TV’s refresh rate to the console/PC for less tearing and stutter, while High Frame Rate goes all the way to 4K/120Hz. Only the HDMI 4 – the ‘game’ input as it were – supports these features, however. Sound has always felt secondary for Samsung when it comes to its TVs, and that’s quite understandable. Samsung will point you towards its Q series range of soundbars and we’d certainly encourage you to seek out an external audio solution for your AV room too. You’ll benefit from a sense of scale that no TV speaker system can match. The first chapter’s police raid on the National Opera House in Kiev is a masterclass of HDR performance. This TV is so bright compared to OLEDs, with the Mini LED technology allowing for such careful pinpoint control of that luminance, that it’s hard to draw our eyes away from the action even for a second. This is where the difference between the QN94A and QN95A is most evident. The slimline One Connect external box supports HDMI 2.1 (ALLM, VRR, HFR) across all its HDMI inputs, so you can plug a Xbox Series X and a PS5 into any of the QN95A’s HDMI inputs. As Samsung continues to give Dolby Vision the widest of berths, Dolby Vision for Gaming isn’t coming to their TVs any time soon.

Information about the number of pixels on the horizontal and vertical side of the screen. A higher resolution allows the display of a more detailed and of higher quality image. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty may not apply to consumable items included with or in the product, which may have a reduced or no warranty period. Sounds – especially vocals – really do seem to be coming from somewhere at least close to the correct part of the screen. There’s none of the sense you sometimes get with big TVs that the sound is all coming from somewhere below the picture. There’s enough power, too, to bring out plenty of detail, and while bass levels aren’t immense, the mid-range is wide and nimble. The QE65Q95T’s speakers pull all this off, moreover, without distorting or collapsing. A big change for 2020, though, appears if you push down on your remote from the home screen. This takes you into handy, nicely presented new tiers of content, based on themes, sources and genres.

The maximum number of colors, which the display is able to reproduce, depends on the type of the panel in use and color enhancing technologies like FRC. The issue with the 2020 models, where brightness of small objects was reduced, isn’t observed here; so the scene where Chris falls into the Sunken Place maintains the same, consistent brightness throughout. Samsung’s dimming algorithms aren’t quite as sophisticated with subtitles, with some words bright and others less so. Once you get over the fact that the QE65Q95T isn’t as highly specified as Samsung’s 2019 4K flagship TV, it’s actually still an outstanding set. For most of the time pictures look gloriously sharp and vibrant, especially with HDR, and the new OTS system takes Samsung’s sound game to a whole new level. The percentage of the approximate area, taken by the active part of the screen, to the total front area. Performance is equally competitive when upscaling from 1080p. The sweeps over the Canary Islands in Fast & Furious 6 in HD on Blu-ray show off the Samsung’s strength of colour. The grasses, the sea, the reds and purples of the blooming flowers all make you want to retire to some far-away paradise. The Sony is probably a tiny bit richer at that red end of the spectrum and warmer on the yellows, but Samsung wins on the cooler shades.

We head straight for a modern day big hitter with Christopher Nolan’s Tenet on 4K Blu-ray, and all fears of the mind-twisting plot to come are replaced by the wow factor produced by the way this TV handles the action. The storage humidity shows the lower and upper humidity limit, which ensures safe storage of the display. Storing it outside these limits might damage the display. Samsung offers a choice of Dynamic, Natural, Standard, Movie and Filmmaker picture modes. The latter two are the most accurate with little, if any, difference between them. OLED TVs with their self-emissive pixels can still do local contrast more pristinely than even this Mini-LED hero can, of course. If you like your HDR bright and colourful, though, especially if you watch TV in a mostly fairly bright room, the QE65QN94A is an absolute beast. OLED TVs are capable of delivering beautifully rich colours too, of course, thanks to their stellar contrast performance. No OLED TV we’ve seen, not even models that use the latest higher-brightness panels can get close to the sort of raw brightness and attendant colour volume the QE65QN94A can achieve.Samsung doesn’t support Freeview Play, but all the UK catch-up apps are present. In addition, Samsung is pushing its TV Plus service with its integrated electronic programme guide as an alternative to Freeview. Like Freeview, it’s free to watch and requires no subscription. Samsung has moved its branding towards the side to firm up the set’s minimalist tastes, while the bezel that frames the screen gives full prominence to the images the TV (spoiler alert) rather wonderfully creates. The QN94A is exclusive to the UK market, with Samsung offering three variants with similar specs (QN95A and QN90A). Stunningpicture quality, features and design make this the ultimate in TV ownership. And we, here at Electronic World, offer you this stunning QE65QN94AATXXU at the cheapest price available.
