About this deal

There are many different versions of Disney Monopoly, each of which uses different characters. Some feature the Disney villains, others focus on the princesses, and others include Pixar characters only. Most of the games still use Jake the Jailbird and Officer Edgar Mallory, but not all. There are many different versions of Monopoly – literally thousands – and while some of them use the traditional Monopoly tokens, most have their own playing pieces you can use as characters. Monopoly Gamer was released in 2017 and was centred around the Nintendo game Super Mario Bros. Three years later came a sequel; introducing Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart! With two huge games blended together, it was almost certain to be a great success from the start! Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart- Just as Crazy as You’d Expect!

The "GO!" space prompts the player who lands on or passes it to receive 2 Coins from the Bank and initiate a "Boss Fight" by flipping over the top Boss Card on its pile. In Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart, instead of properties in London you can stake your claim on courses from across the racing games. It brings old classics like Mario Circuit and Sweet Sweet Canyon, mixed in with fan favourites like Bowser’s Castle and the legendary Rainbow Road! These properties cost 1-5 coins and have fun and simple designs like a lot of the game’s components. Despite having just one die for movement, there are Boost Pad spaces around the board. If you land on a Boost Pad, you can roll the numbered die again and move that many spaces. Power Up Boosts for certain characters will also let you advance further and faster. Indeed, Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart hasn’t left out the most crucial part- racing around the iconic courses! Each time a player passes Go, they trigger a race. The top Grand Prix card is revealed and players have to choose what to do. Each race costs a certain number of coins to enter, with rewards being given for finishing in a variety of positions, as well as the winner getting the card itself. You can earn extra properties, get free power-ups, send people to jail, and even steal properties from people!

In normal Monopoly, you win by bankrupting every other player in the game. It can be quite a long process sometimes. Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart simplifies this. The game now ends once all the races have been done, meaning players have collectively crossed Go eight times. After the final race has been done it’s time to find out who really won the game! Every property you own is worth a certain number of points based on how expensive it was to buy. This ranges from a measly 10 Points, all the way up to 50 for Bowser’s Castle and Rainbow Road, so it truly pays to have as many as you can. Landing on a Warp Pipe Space lets the player move their character to the very next Warp Pipe space on the board. The player also collects any dropped coins on the spaces between those two Warp Pipes and on the landing Pipe (not from the departing Pipe). When you pass or land on GO, you will collect 2 coins from the bank, and also a RACE will happen. You will draw the top card of the race, and everyone who wants to participate in the race must pay its cost. The winner gets the card (worth the points printed on it), and also gets to resolve the action printed on the card for the winner. Some cards also have effects happening the players ending up on 2:nd and 3:rd place. Power-Up (Lightning Bolt): After all other players drop 1 Coin, roll the numbered die, and move again. Follow the rules of that space. Donkey Kong (cereal) • Donkey Kong Junior (cereal) • Go-Gurt • Hostess • Keebler • Kellogg's • Kinder • Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Dinner • Nagatanien • Nintendo Cereal System • Oreo • Pizzatainment • Sunshine Biscuits • Super Mario Cereal • Super Nintendo World

Now we reach what I personally think is the most fun aspect of the entire game: the characters. Gone are the days where your game piece is just a fun decoration that does the same as everyone else’s. Each of the characters in Monopoly Gamer: Mario Kart has two unique features exclusive to them. The game includes the brothers Mario and Luigi, the famous Princess Peach, and the lovable joker Toad, all of which are valued for what they can do. When you roll the dice to move around the board, there’s one for movement and one that has several items from Mario Kart on it, including a banana, green shell, spiny shell, coins and a lightning bolt. Characters get to roll both dice each time, and each character has one of the items powered up. Includes gameboard, 4 Character tokens, 4 Character cards, 4 Reminder cards, 8 Grand Prix cards, 16 Title Deed cards, 5 Banana tokens, 1 Numbered Die 1 Power-Up die, 90 coins, and game guide. If you’ve been waiting to hear what this mysterious space does on the board then wait no longer! Super Star spaces are extra special and landing on one gets you quite the bonus! Each character has a completely unique power that is triggered when they land on the space, and these can really turn the tide of a game. In fact, some of them seem so good that we often want to play specific characters for their power. This sequel to the Monopoly Gamer board game joins forces with Nintendo Mario Kart characters and elements. Move around the gameboard as Mario, Princess Peach, Luigi, or Toad; buy iconic Mario Kart properties such as Bowser's Castle, and Rainbow Road. Pass Go to trigger a race from Mario Kart Cup, dodge banana peel tokens, toss shells, and collect Coins. A Super Star space activates special abilities and rolling the Power-Up Die adds a special boost. Winning in this game is all about winning races! Who will end up with the coveted Grand Prix card? When the final race is over, the player with the highest score wins. In addition, depending on the Character a player is using, the Power-Up may get a "Boost", as listed on the Character card. Each character has a unique "Power-Up Boost" assigned that may be activated when the listed Power-Up is rolled; for example, if the player playing Mario rolls the coins side on the Power-Up die, he gets four coins instead of three.
