Her novels are full of wonderful characters and the stories so well written, much in the same vein as Graham Norton.What Grace really wants is to find her daughter Alys; mother of Elin and absent from the family for thirty years.

It is such a well written book, with the characters being fully formed and believable, it had me rooting for the best outcome for them all. What a wonderful, heart-warming, beautifully emotional story by Ruth Jones of 4 generations, trying to navigate their own lives and their relationships with others and each other. The characters in this one generally are likeable accept Alys making me warm to the writing of her even more. But Grace is close to the end of her life, and she knows she has no choice but to try to heal her family.
