About this deal

Ghostbusters: A Look Back (10:37) contains interviews with the original cast (Aykroyd, Murray, Hudson and Ivan Reitman together, plus Weaver and Potts separately). Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse. Managing to gift this new entry a fabulously dark tone - despite its later hijinks (and frankly awful cover art) - if you're not sold on Afterlife after the first few minutes, you never will be. As a whole, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a good addition to the franchise and a step in the right direction.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. However, there are some things about his character that suggest otherwise, that perhaps he may have also been a bit of an outsider. As sequels from 30+ years later go, Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a surprise gem, wearing its nostalgia proudly - much to the chagrin of many - but also focussing on the still-beating hearts at the core original Ghostbusters, to welcome effect. Review: My fandom for Ghostbusters dates back to the mid/late 1980s, although it probably began with The Real Ghostbusters animated rather than the films, in fact it’s likely I watched Ghostbusters II before the 1984 original.Spectral Effects: The Ghosts of Afterlife (6:29) looks at the design and visual effects of the featured ghosts including the tiny Stay Puft Marshmallow Men, Muncher and yes, ghost Harold Ramis (the physical stand-in was Bob Gunton). We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. However, it's really the effects which light up the stage (and, as we've already noted, the screen), bringing palpable energy to the streams of the proton blasters, tangibility to creatures, and thunderous underfloor LFE impact during some of the bigger moments. For the week that ended on March 5th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Encanto reclaimed the top spot on both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts for the first time since its release three weeks ago. No franchise stays dead for long and when ghosts are involved, it was only a matter of time before we’d get a new Ghostbusters movie.

On the plus side, the dialog is clean and the surround experience it does offer is pretty good - but there is a notably much better audio track out there that folks who don’t rock and roll with 4K are going to miss out on.Following eviction, single mother Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) and her two children take refuge in her late father’s derelict farmhouse in rural Oklahoma. It’s still good for what it has to bring to the table, there are plenty of highly engaging surround elements for the big key action sequences, but otherwise, it’s just not there. And thanks to some fancy makeup, CGI, and Bob Gunton, the series fittingly says adios to one of the architects of the franchise. With the leads of the film, each time you watch it, you can watch the movie from a different character’s perspective, and get a different experience while watching the movie. Happily I wasn't disappointed with this nostalgic sequel bringing back memories of the original with its sound effects and music.

HDR (including Dolby Vision) and WCG sear discordant tears of energy into your screen, traps glow with intensity, and the anomalies themselves are wonderfully realised, at once vivid yet also strangely at one with the environments they appear in - seamlessly integrated into the visuals. Blu-ray release of Afterlife features superb video and audio presentations and a nice assortment of extra content. Presented in collectable “ghost trap” packaging and includes a full 220-page reprint of the rare 1985 “Making GHOSTBUSTERS” book! From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. An average film overall, more so visually and sound wise if you own your own home cinema set up as I do and indeed value these things as I do then by all means I recommend. Ghostbusters: Behind Closed Doors: Documentary – a 90-minute documentary about the making of Ghostbusters and the history of the franchise! Some of the elements may have been a bit too familiar for its own good, but all around it was a more-than-worthy outing. Bringing Ecto-1 Back to Life (1080p, 4:49): Reviving the franchise's famous car nearly four decades later. Europe's busiest forums, with independent news and expert reviews, for TVs, Home Cinema, Hi-Fi, Movies, Gaming, Tech and more.

After a few unexplained earthquakes are linked to an old mine nearby, the children learn the truth about their grandfather's history as a Ghostbuster. I suggest that they should have done what I’ve now done a ton of times: let the movie be what it is, and take them for a ride.On January 24, 2022, a preview of the Gearheads Guide to Ghostbusters Gadgets featurette was posted. Second place, however, was claimed by Disney and 20th Century Studios' The King's Man, one of several . Detail on this looked decent, especially close-ups while I’d say some of the CGI parts looked dodgy, Muncher especially. For more about Ghostbusters: Afterlife and the Ghostbusters: Afterlife Blu-ray release, see Ghostbusters: Afterlife Blu-ray Review published by Martin Liebman on January 27, 2022 where this Blu-ray release scored 4. Although it was good to see some reoccurring themes I really thought that just what it was and it does set up for the next movie with the new generation of Ghostbusters with the kids in the movie.
