Many first-time dSLR users are put off by the inability on some models to use the LCD as a viewfinder, but we came to love the what you see is what you get aspect of using the eyepiece. And once again, this is not oly-specific, i would have written everything i wrote here even if you would have declared the E500 (or E510) the greatest gift to photographers ever manufactured. I, for one, select the parameter i want to change with that up, down, left, right buttons, and change the values with the wheel, no need to even push OK and enter the submenu there. The menu navigation buttons double up to alter the White balance, ISO rating, metering areas and Auto focus selections.We're as guilty as anyone of getting excited about shiny new gear and features, but let's not lose sight of the gear we already have by our side. In portraiture, yes, short DoF is sometimes required, but macro is usually done with F8 or smaller aperture to gain even a little bit of DoF, so more DoF is a plus for macro, not a negative point. Furthermore, while still relatively low for its class, the 400D's measured and visible image noise was significantly worse than that of the CCD-based Nikon D80 for any given ISO speed.Shots taken at ISO 100 and ISO 200 were very clean, but beyond that, the photos couldn't take much retouching without drawing attention to the noise.

The shot was f/22 for good depth of field and this gave a shutter speed of 1/5 of a second, so a tripod was used to ensure as sharp an image as possible. The Pentax also accepts any Pentax lens which is great and also comes with a metal mount on the included lens, but has a thumbs down from me about the batteries.so I have an issue and I can't find anything on the canon page to help me, but my lcd screen doesn't work so I can have a live view of what I take a picture of. The slightly squarer design is more reminiscent of Minolta than the usual slick curves of Sony, but feels a lot more substantial in the hand. I like the boost of colour it gives which is a breath of fresh air compared to the Canon and Olympus. However, Minolta also had a tendency to do this and is why the hotshoe is still inverted to only get Minolta or Sony Digital flashguns. Why do you even go into the menu, everything can be done on the control panel on the screen, just press OK and navigate there.

At the time, I was pleased with it, but I think I only had it about one or two years before I sold it.This means if you have been a friend of Pentax since the old days and have a lot of the old lenses, they will fit on the K100D Super however, the camera has to be set up in the custom functions so it knows that a manual lens or extension tubes are attached.
