I think more would have bogged it down a little, but we get only the slightest inkling of how bored Ko is and how aromantic he feels (for now). It's theme of night is something I didn't realize I would connect with so deeply until I started reading it. He is initially apprehensive of Ko's dream of becoming a vampire after they are attacked by one, but after learning the woman he fell in love with, Kiku Hoshimi, is also one, he decides to let himself be turned too. She is initially introduced as an antagonist to Ko and the vampires, attempting to convince the former to give up on his dream, and revealed to have discovered how to kill vampires using their "weakness" (mementos from their human past).

A young boy (I forgot his name already) who’s disillusioned with his school and home life goes wandering the streets at night, only to encounter a vampire girl, whose name/title I understood to be something like “Nazuna of the Seven Grasses. The big plot point arrives (way too late if you ask me) when our hero’s childhood friend comes into the picture. A flustered Akira discovers of Nazuna and Yamori's kiss, and tries to dissuade him from falling in love with a vampire.It was serialized in Shogakukan's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Sunday from August 2019 to January 2024.

The author perfectly captures the appeal of seeing the world that runs so normally during the day through the lens of the strangeness that comes out at night.She approaches Ko when she hears that Nazuna is spending the night with a human where she attempts to suck his blood, until she is stopped by Nazuna. Ko speaks to Mahiru about the previous night, and is asked why he wishes to become a vampire and advised to consider if it is a good idea. Anko pays for the coffee and leaves, letting Ko take the change, which he spends on beer for Nazuna.

She is not as accepting of Ko in her first encounter with him, but becomes willing to let him stay with Nazuna so long as he fulfills his intentions on becoming a vampire and Nazuna continues to suck his blood. After Nazuna explains their mutually beneficial relationship to Akira, Yamori finally tells her of how he will become a vampire if he falls in love with Nazuna.Nazuna seems older and more mature (about certain things) than he does so they don't seem to mesh well. As someone who loves walks at night (entirely for those reasons) this story really resonated with me.
