About this deal

The book is separated into mini stories about Jeanie and her Nana getting into trouble and out of it again. She can not seem to go anywhere without getting involved in just a tiny bit of trouble; popping unwanted items into other people’s trolleys at the supermarket, disrupting line-dancing classes or getting locked in the village hall, Nana and naughty go together. Sometimes she can be a bit embarrassing but most of the time she’s REALLY fun, especially when she gets Jeanie involved in her mischievous schemes.

Yesterday a parent came over to tell me how impressed she was by the book fair and that you did a fabulous job of selling the books to the children first. However, Bad Nana doesn't seem to have the same 'limit switch' most adults have, and this leads to all sorts of outrageous behaviour and adventures for Bad Nana and Jeanie. but then it made some things like a whole page devoted to the contents of her hand bag pretty uninteresting as it wasn't exactly like she had a devil's totem or a pet spider or anything in there!

Can Anisha Mistry find out who sabotaged her science experiment and flooded the school with foam when all the potential suspects have alibis?

My son read this book and he questioned me why Jeanie hate Jack so much and I explained to him that maybe her younger brother did all of the things she didn't like just like he didn't like when his younger sister kicked down his Jenga tower as he finished building it. The characters are loveable,Bad Nana is a true and proper legend,I have no words to properly describe just how fabulous she is. She may or may not have been responsible for making fart noises when the park-keeper bent over to pick up a sweet wrapper that one time, and she’s been banned from the line-dancing club. It is clear that Jeanie worries about her nana’s behaviour and is sometimes a little embarrassed by it but, really, she is proud to have such a fierce, independent lady fighting her corner. The final chapter – ‘Bad Nana Lends A Hand’ – is brilliantly paced as Nana comes along on the school trip to the boring local history museum. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The Nana isn't bad, she's just mischievous and has her own form of justice that may well require her to dress up as Henry VIII sometimes. Elmo and his sister love sneaking over the garden wall to play in the empty house next door, with its enticing overgrown garden. was shortlisted for the AOI Illustration Awards 2014 and the Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2015.

Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example. I’m Jeanie – still 7 ¾ years old, and back for another adventure with my BRILLIANT grandma BAD NANA . Also the perfect length for reading in class to little listeners who are ready for slightly longer stories. Nja, personligen tycker jag kanske att fyra stjärnor skulle räcka, men mina barn älskar boken och det är förstås värt en del.I kept going for another few pages, buoyed by the fun writing, but then I decided that I couldn't keep hurting my brain this way. Mais uma vez adorei a leitura deste livro, tenho pena de não ter lido este primeiro volume da série em primeiro lugar, pois aqui conheci melhor a Avó Sarilho. She is an eccentric character who loves dressing in all black and glitzy earrings and has a fond addictive love of sherbet lemon sweets. The story is simple and funny, but the most enjoyable element of the book is undoubtedly the bold neon artwork that explodes from every single page. Veel leuke knalroze illustraties, niet al te veel tekst maar genoeg om een leuk verhaal te vertellen.
