The end of this book left this reader wanting more, so I've got the next book in the series, High Force, to read in due course. As Easter Bank Holiday weekend approaches, NCID is looking forward to spending time off and being with their loved ones.

As always, the stunning Northumbrian landscape plays a part in the dramatic storyline and the iconic Angel of the North sets the scene for the final showdown. With twists and turns around every corner, both the plot of the book and the overarching storyline of the series so far are expertly constructed and executed.The DCI Ryan series is going from strength to strength and it is nigh on impossible to contain my excitement when a new book is released.
