About this deal

Second, the pairing is a little confusing, but once you understand the pairing scheme, it sorta makes sense.

Same approach was used for my wife's modular MTS helmet, although in this case the boom mic was used. Once this thing is on your helmet, you don’t have to worry about it going anywhere while you’re riding. Universal pairing feature, compatible with most of the Bluetooth headphones or earpiece in the market. So each motorcycle has one end unit, and one bridge unit, and the bridge units connect the 2 motorcycles. All things considered, sometimes less wiz-doodles allow for more focus to enjoy the experience of the ride.

After-sales service: If you encounter any problems during use, please contact the after-sales personnel first, and we will provide satisfactory after-sales service and suitable solutions. As supplied, the clamp did not feel super secure, so I cut a piece of foam rubber to match the contour of the helmet and act as a spacer inside the clamp. The speakers also fit into both helmets well -- nice and tucked behind the cheek pads and into the speaker inlets provided by the Shoei. It kills the audio of any non-LEXIN device that establishes the first direct bridge connection with you.

Overall, we're going to stay with the Lexin intercoms, we were quite surprised how well they worked and the range was good as well.

Lithium-ion battery provides up to 15 hours' music stream, 15 hours' talk time, and one week's standby time. Last intercoms I had were old dumb and cheap wired ones which were useless above 30mph, so the Lexin's are a revelation to me.I started looking at less expensive systems because primarily we wouldn't be using more than 10% of the high end units features.

It uses dynamic mesh communication (DMC) technology, ensuring continuous connectivity without the need for manual reconnections. Battery life is good - running them for a couple of long-ride days doesn't even register a battery drop. We don't listen to music while riding, and don't have a bunch of electronics we want to pair up to such as a GPS. Fitting one to my AGV-K3 was fairly straight forward using the supplied screw-together clamp that grips the helmet shell. The intercom tells you battery percentage when you power up, so at the end of the day I turned it off and then back on and it reported "low battery" which makes me think we were getting to the end of the batteries life, about 10 hours in intercom mode.

If you get stuck or confused, you can press the vol - and + and easily reset the connections on a unit to start fresh. Next, the microphones on the boom are directional, it say's outside on it and you better install it with the words away from you, otherwise you will get very low volume and a lot of background wind noise. Expert Opinion: The Cardo Packtalk Edge is a cutting-edge Bluetooth motorcycle headset designed for seamless communication with up to 15 riders within a 1mi range.
