About this deal

My eyes are firmly now open to how deep-rooted the problems really are and I will be shouting from the rooftops where possible to try to make at least a tiny impact. If you are looking for solutions, or a magic bullet, it’s not really going to satiate that need… but at the same time you know what you should do (stand up for yourself and other women - keep pushing for improvements - and encourage people to seek help and come forward). so… i wanted to see what people were saying about this book and how well received it was by people, so i read some reviews and most are saying how important and impactful it was, however of course there was negatives as well and it really intrigued me. It's about the need to equal -up the opportunities and behaviours deeply ingrained in our culture, and other cultures, that do not consider women as being equal to men. She works closely with politicians, businesses, schools, police forces and organisations from the Council of Europe to the United Nations to tackle gender inequality.

This was another great exploration of misogyny and every day sexism, it made me angry (but if it doesn't I am concerned for you! Investigado, con testimonios, citas textuales, FTSNTW es un libro que expone los prejuicios y las violencias sistemáticas dentro del sistema Británico y sus instituciones (de seguridad, educativas, políticas, medios de comunicación, etc. It's absolutely disgusting to not only NOT believe, but mock and contradict the people who are indeed affected on a systemic level and think you know better than them what they should be focusing on. maybe you don’t know all the statistics but you are more than aware of all the systemic issues as they have happened to you and you have learned to live with them of course your not shocked!Combining stories with shocking evidence, Fix the System, Not the Women is a blazing examination of sexual injustice and a rallying cry for reform. This book will infuriate you and open your eyes to so many injustices that you simply accept as “life as it is” presented with many accounts from real women and statistics that will shock, frighten and sadden you. Ik kan dit boek aanraden voor allen die het grotere plaatje willen inzien, het systeem in plaats van enkel het individu. Especially men who believe feminists hate men for no reason and society is equal and there's no point to feminism, because they've never seen or experienced the things feminists are complaining about - that's privilege.

This book carefully goes through many aspects of society and the system that will make you cry, cringe and rage with anger. Do you know, there’s a one star review on this book saying that it actually encourages misogyny and there are 10 people who found it helpful.Zwaar omdat het herkenbaar is, omdat je het eigenlijk al wel weet en nu opeens alles bij elkaar wordt voorgeschoteld. The idea that the solution is for women to “better track our movements” or “stay home after dark” is absolutely unacceptable . Laura Bates is the founder of the Everyday Sexism Project, an ever-increasing collection of over 100,000 testimonies of gender inequality, with branches in 25 countries worldwide.
