About this deal

Short chapters combined with the ability to start off with a bang and keep the action coming make for a great read. There are no big surprises in The Beach House, but it's vintage Patterson, with plenty of action, villains with hearts blacker than obsidian, and a working-class hero who pulls himself up by the bootstraps.

S. Geological Survey, leading to “immediate suspension of the National Volcano Early Warning System,” and there’s always someone around looking to monetize the natural disaster and the sasquatch-y onslaught that follows. As Jack tries to uncover details of his brother's last night, he confronts a maddening barricade of lawyers, police, and paid protectors who separate the wealthy summer residents from local workers like Peter. Though, there is a simple story line consisted of showing money as an instrument of power and the ease that rich have in covering up their horrible acts, in the end, it's a straight-forward detective book for major part of the novel and a few plot twists only heightened the intensity. Astonishingly, all the victims cooperate and the world watches some kid bring down one of the most powerful businessmen in America. It’s hard for me to admit, but in the start, I was more invested in his destiny, than finding Peter’s killer.Gebundene Ausgabe Sehr guter Zustand, ohne Namenseintrag, Zustand: 2, Sehr gut - gebraucht, Gebundene Ausgabe Lingen Verlag , 2012 , Wenn er fällt dann stirbt er - Thriller. I'll admit that at first I was drawn in by the lure of handsome young brothers in the Hamptons; one murdered, one seeking justice. A tasty, if not always tasteful, tale of supernatural mayhem that fans of King and Crichton alike will enjoy.

He is the creator of unforgettable characters and series, including Alex Cross, the Women’s Murder Club, Jane Effing Smith, and Maximum Ride, and of breathtaking true stories about the Kennedys, John Lennon, and Princess Diana, as well as our military heroes, police officers, and ER nurses. I didn’t like it as much as I wanted due to some strenuous plot points, but it still was a satisfying read. The backlash creates a determination to punish evil and the investigation continues as the balance swings back and forth between the bad guys and the good guys.

Now I appreciate that for those of you who have stayed with me this far, there's nothing too surprising about this romantic development. Jack tries to uncover what really happened on the beach that night, only to come up against the shadowy people who protect the privileges of the multi-billionaire summer residents. His brother would never have committed suicide, particularly since the body looks like Peter was beaten to death. Jack tries to uncover what really happened on the beach that night, only to confront a wall of silence; a barricade of shadowy people who protect the privileges of the multi-billionaire summer residents.

Motivated by a hundred forms of grief, Jack rallies his hometown friends to help him find the truth of Peter’s death – no matter how rich or corrupt the people who stand in their way. This will be crucial in societies where there is no great knowledge about the disease and often HIV patients are treated as outcastes. Meanwhile, Jack gradually builds up a team of people who agree with the fact that Peter was murdered.Jack Mullen is in law school in New York City when the news comes that his brother, Peter, has drowned in the ocean off East Hampton. For instance, you would get to a particularly interesting part in the story, something shocking would happen, and then the chapter would end -- the break in text worked as a tension builder.

But the majority of chapters in this story are no more than a page long, and there aren't that many suspenseful parts. I'm going to get right into it, without any skirting around - if you've never read a James Patterson novel, here's a great place to start. And as we work our way into James' revenge, the plot escalates so well that it's a relief when we finally learn how James will uncover what he knows is true. If the characters were in the centre of story, I would probably throw this book in the trash, since they weren’t very well developed. Peter Mullen body was washed a shore on the beach outside the home of business tycoon Barry and Campion Neubauer, Memorial Day Weekend, in the Hamptons. The Beach House reveals the secret lives of celebrities in a breathtaking drama of revenge-with a finale so shocking that only James Patterson could have written it. Peter de Jonge wrote the bestselling novels THE BEACH HOUSE and MIRACLE ON THE 17TH GREEN with James Patterson, and has written for several national publications. This book made me feel that I was right in the setting and that I was a part of the character's lives. When I first read the title of this book, the first thought that crossed my mind, was “I should have read this book next summer, not now. He has numerous arguments for this belief - Peter was an excellent swimmer, his corpse was covered in bruises, which were unlikely caused by the ocean waves and a competent coroner who did the autopsy confirmed that Peter didn’t drown.
