I tip my hat to the perfumer of Dama Bianca, in fact he deserves an award, this is DDDDiiiiviiineeeeee! I totally smell the violets and woods, and the piquant kumquat was an interesting but not too "challenging-in-a-bad-way" top note. I’ve never smelled kumquat before, but if it’s anything like the top note - it is a much softer, more delicate, hybrid version of other common citruses. I’ve never smelt Dama Bianca, but reading it’s notes, and smelling Junoon Noir, I have a feeling that this might be the best dupe.Opening strongly reminds me of several Montales perfumes (same type of musk), resemblance lasts only for first 20-30 seconds. It's such a sweet yet luminous vanilla, the fruits prevents it from being overly sweet and adds some freshness, also flowers give it a bit of perfumey touch. However, I think a certain headache potential is quite possible due to the really strong floral sweetness.
As I inhale its captivating aroma, I envisage an altruistic enchantress, graced with this very perfume.
To my nose, this fragrance smells like warm brown sugar cookies with a hint of violet in the dry down. The creamy vanilla sandalwood drydown is very comforting and enduring on the skin, rather like the vanilla in Lira. This is a make up powdery, vanilla, beautiful feminine scent but after at least 10 sprays still doesn't have a crazy sillage that I was expecting, and disappears after a few hours so just a like from me. I would also feel amazing wearing this to a job interview: for when I need to believe I’m sharp and put together.
The next time I used it, it smelled like straight up leather on my skin—hadn’t used any other scented products either day. Vestibulum ante ipsum primis in faucibus orci luctus et ultrices posuere cubilia curae; Nulla facilisi. i'll always keep this in my collection and it might wind up being an unintentional signature because i just find it to be such a pretty fragrance.Edit 10/11/23: tried this again today and it smells like old stinky leather on me—no vanilla, no powder, maybe a touch of fruitiness but it’s buried under the saddle smell.
