This book takes on the tough yet timely topic of book censorship in schools which is still an issue today and more relevant than ever to teen readers.

It was delightful to have an LGBTQ+ story, with a same-sex relationship at its heart, that's NOT about the fear of being queer or trauma of coming out, but instead treats queer as just as usual as straight and is instead about the regular dreams and angst of dealing with crappy adults and a toxic "friend".The confusion of planning for a future while enjoying and mourning the end of high school add in summer romance makes for a fun read. I would use this book to address topics such as self-identity and self-expression to be discussed in the class with a wide range of students. I’m taking a class that requires us to create a children’s self-esteem book, which naturally transports me back to the “Hi, good-looking! I really loved the first two books in this series, so I was looking forward to this one as being grander and more epic than the previous two.
