About this deal

Although they are equally heavy on the oakmoss, the sparkly rose dominance of 900 takes a backseat here to the much more emphasized dark patchouli and the heavy white floral notes: this seems much earthier, much more natural, and definitely more womanly. This is the smell of a bewitching woman deep in the woods, casting death spells on corrupt men in the financial district. It is well balanced in its elements of herbacity, which encompass the smells of earthyness/dirt, grassiness, medicinal herbs or herbs for drinking as tea.

Aromatics Elixir, in addition to being one of the last true chypres of History, is pure magic : ultra-feminine on a woman, ultra-masculine on a man, or vice versa depending on your state of mind, it never ceases to amaze and delight me. How does a man go from proclaiming a fragrance to be his favorite, his life essence, for years depleting large bottles with alarming frequency, to a total purge and bitter dismissal of it? also: aromatics elixir happens to be one of those perfumes old women actually *do* wear (if for no other reason than that they wore it when they were young women. I remember feeling kind of neutral about it in the past so sneaked a sniff to see what I thought now.L'aromatics elixir nella formula originale dal 71 fino a una ventina di di ani fa aveva circa 700 ingredienti amalgamati e concentrati che formavano quel bouquet famoso intenso e dorato che durava giorni interi e cambiava magicamente addosso passando dalla rosa al muschio umido, all'odore di foglie secche in autunno, all'incenso su note piccanti, erbe verdi e secche, fumi calmanti, salvia, fiori e zibetto. This is such a beautiful fragrance, and just like everyone else, I have such beautiful memories with this fragrance. There is also something slightly medicinal about Aromatics Elixir, it smells like a draught you would acquire from an apothecary or a potion from a woods-dwelling witch. my dad would get mad at me when i reapplied it because it was just so strong and i sprayed it so much.

Read about this perfume in other languages: Deutsch, Español, Français, Čeština, Italiano, Русский, Polski, Português, Ελληνικά, 汉语, Nederlands, Srpski, Română, العربية, Українська, Монгол, עברית.I always had tons of compliments and I actually started wearing it because of smelling it on a friend's mother.

It reminds me of those women when I was a young teen/teenager that I saw on TV in their shoulder pad power suits running to catch the subway to go to work in some office.Based on the notes I was almost certainly sure that I would like it, but for perfumes we have all learned our lessons, haven't we?

I do feel like this scent is very unisex, personally the mossy component of this scent overwhelms any feminine florals that may be present. I just found out I'm 2 months pregnant, and I always thought I wouldn't tolerate strong perfumes whenever it happened. The same year this perfume came out, 1971, also saw the release of Carole King's "Tapestry": and if ever a fragrance embodied the sensibility behind a song, this one does with "I Feel the Earth Move Under My Feet.

If you haven't explored the realms of chypres, I recommend starting here, if you're brave and patient.
