I'm not 100% sure if a child would want to read it over and over again, once they've figured out everything, but I think some would. Each page draws you further into a beautifully vibrant world of huge elephants, slithery snakes and growling tigers, inviting you to compare one animal to another and learn comparison words and adjectives from the natural world. No missing or damaged pages, no tears, possible very minimal creasing, no underlining or highlighting of text, and no writing in the margins. To be fair, the text is fairly simple - as I'm sure most A-Z books are - the real star here is the colourful artwork. Simple, but clever clues to each animals, my class of year 2s found it a challenge to remember which letter comes next without going from the beginning each time .Julia Donaldson has written some of the world's best-loved children's books, including modern classics The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child , which together have sold over 25 million copies worldwide and have been translated into over one hundred languages. It's fun to find the flaps, which fold out in different ways, making it a bit more interesting (though very little hands may need a bit of help here).
