About this deal
Once again, the 'Normal' overdrive setting results in a lot less overshoot than the 'Fast' and 'Faster' settings, and motion looks buttery smooth.
This monitor has native Adaptive Sync support, meaning it supports both FreeSync and is G-SYNC compatible as well. However, they’re not overclockable to 160 Hz, and instead limited to 144 Hz, and their overall look is a little tackier.
The Vesa recess doesn't look 100% standard though so I could see some people having issues without the use of standoffs. After a few tweaks this panel performs like a high end TN from a few years back with the added benefit of fairly decent HDR support (don't expect perfect blacks, uber brightness or OLED like colours) but it's good enough. They perform very similarly gaming-wise; the Gigabyte has a higher refresh rate of 170Hz, but the LG has a better response time.
