Once they have mastered basic co-ordination skills, and are ready to "balance", normally from around age 3+, they can then be converted to a two-wheeler and can be used up to the age of around 6 years, or until the child is ready to upgrade to a pedal bike. There are more races after he gets 14 yrs but the disciplines are different and for which the closest infrastructure to train is like 600 miles from where we are.My youngest son raced motocross for years, I raced as well we were a father and son team we shared the heartbreaks and the wins it taught us both how to be good winners as well as good losers. Yes I agree with what you all say and I will let him ride as much as he wants and want stop him in any sense of doing it. The only drawback is that it’s advised for indoor use only, unless the weather in the garden is dry and fine. Under europeain Fis ski federation they have only 3 races during the whole season for disciplines he is riding.
