About this deal

The CIE diagram on the left of the image confirms that the monitors colour gamut (black triangle) extends a considerable way beyond the sRGB reference space (orange triangle), mostly in green and red shades. It has a 240Hz refresh rate with native FreeSync variable refresh rate (VRR) support to reduce screen tearing.

However, it has a slow response time in dark scenes, as seen in the 0-20% total response time, which causes some artifacts, known as black smearing. The response time at 120Hz remains incredible, and you won't notice much motion blur with fast-moving objects. The Samsung has a higher refresh rate than the ASUS, but the difference might not be noticeable to many gamers. Although it has a local dimming feature, it doesn't do much to improve the contrast, as most content causes all zones to turn on. While the local dimming feature helps reduce some backlight bleed, there's still clouding throughout and some blooming around the center cross. Besides that, the LG gets brighter and has better reflection handling, so it's the better choice for use in well-lit rooms.

G-Sync compatiblity keeps the GPU and panel synced up to eliminate choppiness, screen-lag, and image tears. The Samsung Odyssey G7 C32G75T and the MSI Optix MAG274QRF-QD are both great monitors with excellent gaming performance; however, they're different.
