About this deal

It was well written and whimsical, just the kind of book to curl up with when you need some comfort.

Holmberg…has a deft hand portraying internal emotional responses…Keeper of Enchanted Rooms combines lighthearted entertainment and nail-biting excitement. A spirit that inhabits the very walls of a house is the means for all kinds of crazy shenanigans - of which it abounds! The majority of the books reviewed at this site have been provided for free by publishers, authors, or other third parties like NetGalley or Edelweiss. As each character is introduced and began to acclimate into this found family of sorts, I began to deeply care for each of them. Merritt and Hulda are fantastic together, him so messy and disorganized, her so strictly controlled and structured. But, it isn't long until the genius of why this is needed comes to light and the story-line gels into a right rollicking mystery/suspense! If you enjoy books about magical worlds that are still Christian, with romantic tropes then this is for you! Keeper of Enchanted Rooms takes place in the mid-1800s, mainly in Rhode Island, but there are scenes set in England. Then comes the newly hired maid, Beth, with her own abilities and foresight, and Baptiste, who grunts and lumbers, but cooks the most delicious meals. Thank you to 47North and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of Keeper of Enchanted Rooms by Charlie N. As a member of BIKER (The Boston Institute of Enchanted Rooms), Hulda’s job is to settle enchanted homes down and set up the owners with the tools to live comfortably alongside their magical properties. Likable characters, unique and interesting magic systems, and a very special, very delightful sense of charm that wiggles under your skin and hooks you tight are some of Charlie N.If you describe 1846 USA like the above passage does (admittedly from the villain point-of-view), then you better explain what happens with slavery in your magical AU. With its doors slamming shut and locking behind him, Whimbrel House is not about to let Merritt leave. If you want to see my much more in depth review, you can check it out on my book blog NovelOnMyMind. But I kept seeing positive reviews and I’ve been on a bit of a quirky magical romance kick lately, so I decided to finally open it and see what all the fuss was about. I enjoyed discovering how everything functioned and observing how the magic impacted every other aspect of the narrative.

I'll miss the wonderful voices of the three narrators but I will be able to see the spells and names as they are written and that might help me understand the spells and genealogy better.Nearly took a star off for the lack-of-communication/misunderstanding between main characters which is a romance format that always irritates me. This book ended up on my list of favorite books I’ve read in 2022, and it's near the very top of that list. her ideas are still stellar - she really is brilliant - but the execution just isn't nearly as substantial. The prologue set in 1818, London is chilling, and took me in a very different direction to what ultimately occurs. The good guys are sweet and adorable, the bad guys are evil and yet you see how they got there and can empathize, the other characters have enough depth that you want to know more of their stories in later books.

Instead of lugging the hardcover of Iron Flame along on my ski trip to Montana, I uploaded this eBook. We also earn a small commission on affiliate links to Apple, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, and Booksamillion. In a Nutshell: All things bright and beautiful, some creatures great and small, many things wise and wonderful – the author included them all. The moment I read what it was about I knew I was going to love it, but I didn't think I’d enjoy it quite this much. Imagine 19 century in a Magical world, the people who have magic in their blood from their parents or rarely accidentally have it, born with a spell and protecting the MAGIC, caring and operating ENCHANTED buildings.
