About this deal

However, they all saw little fanfare and still nothing close to the original Neptune 2; I think that the Neptune 3 Pro has the opportunity to rekindle that desire. The screen UI, whilst one of the nicer ones available, is not the best user experience available, I routinely hear a beep as if I have pressed it but without the actual action happening on screen, which is infuriating, so I turned the beep off for a short amount of time, however then I had no clue whether something had worked, so I relented and re-enabled the beep.

An interesting feature of the Neptune 3 Pro is a nozzle cooling fan, which has nozzle fans on both sides with better heat dissipation. It is incredibly annoying if you are printing something expected to take many many hours only to find that during the night a power cut meant your project was brought to an abrupt and unexpected halt. Reminder: The larger the size of the printed model, the more accurate the number of steps measured and calculated. It shows Elegoo listen and act upon feedback to ensure their development inches closer towards both a fantastic printer and set-up experience. To help ensure the correct cable goes to the correct part each one is labelled and uniquely sized connectors are used. This is over 254% larger than the Neptune 3 Pro's build volume of 16,065cm³ (its build volume measures 225 x 255 x280mm). I had no problem consulting them except I felt a little more instruction would be beneficial for the steps taken to run the auto bed levelling program.

The only real downside for the SV06, and this is more of a personal preference for some people, is the screen used.

The XY-axis belt tensioner is more convenient to adjust belt tightness by simply rotating the hand-twist knob, and the widened Y-axis profile to make the printing platform more stable. The large collection of neatly bundled wires from the bed first stop at the X axis motor (on the left hand side of the vertical gantry) before carrying on to the print head itself where they terminate. The Filament sensor grips things like the Colorfabb Vibers PLA, a rougher than normal filament but more brittle than others.

The last one is going to be an issue for some filaments more than others, but it is that there is excessive friction in the filament run-out sensor. When printing flexible materials, the consumables are easy to bend in the extruder, and there is a phenomenon similar to plugging. The two internal perimeters of the Fine Feature test platform are hanging away from the other strands. The XYZ axis is driven by TMC2225, E0 axis is driven by TMC2209 with more stable motion performance and a lower printing noise of under 50db, like a person's whisper. With a filament detection sensor, whenever the filament runs out or breaks, the printer will pause and alarm until you load the new filament to avoid material waste and model scrapping. You can see two extrusion setups demonstrated in the comparison photos showing the Bowden setup of the Neptune 3 and Direct Drive used in the newer Neptune 3 Pro. At normal printing speed (below 70mm/s), in a closed low-noise environment (30 decibels), the measured machine noise is below 50 decibels; when the machine prints at a faster speed, the noise generated is higher than that when printing at a normal speed bigger, which is normal. It seemed only fair that the first print completed should be the included sample model file on the memory card printed with the included sample of PLA filament. Built on the feature set established by the Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro, the 'Plus' version brings a larger build volume to the table with many of the features you could want in a desktop 3D FDM printer.
