About this deal

Novation’s Launchpads are also in the running, offering more clip rows, and a competitive feature set when paired with the Launch Control XL. One feature which has always seemed to be a missing link in the APC range is a lack of motorised faders.

It's still pretty big (although smaller than Push2), but likely not as heavy and rectangular shape seems more convenient. The demo versions are identical to the final product, with the exception of the time limitation of the trial version. Unfortunately, Ableton's internal midi mapping mode does not provide every control option, so options such as controlling the selected track or selected device aren't possible.Ultimately, these mini devices didn’t get our blood pumping like the APC40 Mk2, but we didn’t expect them to; they are designed to be used on the move, or as part of a bigger setup, and they do that job very well. Now through May 3rd, 2020, new and existing users of the APC Mini, APC Key 25 and APC40 MKII are eligible for two exclusive Ableton Live project templates and sample packs. Yes, the layout is a little different, and there are a couple of new features, but overall in functionality terms, the Mk2 is just that; a revision of the mk1. Constructed from high-quality polycarbonate material, our cover provides exceptional durability, ensuring the longevity of your APC40 MK2. Over 80 audio FX plugins are included so you can maninuplate your sound however you wish while VST/AU compatibility allows you to really expand your sound.

But I'm missing a controller to launch clips and control devices with knobs and thought MPC40 MK2 could be a good pick, especially because it has separate encoders with LED strips for control of devices and tracks. Our Decksaver cover offers comprehensive safeguarding against a range of potential hazards, including dust, spills, and accidental impacts.

In line with recent versions of Live, you now have two Record buttons, one for traditional Arrangement recording, and the Session button for punching into clips in the Session view.

Building upon this original partnership, Akai Professional now introduces an all-new, reimagined Ableton Live controller-APC40 mkII.On the original, the knobs could only be switched between Pan and Sends A–C; now a single Sends button gives access to up to eight Sends. In this tutorial you will learn everything you need to know about using the Akai Apc 40 Mk2 with Ableton Live. This free software is based on the legendary MPC workflow and allows you to get incredible results with ease in your home studio. The Apc 40 Mk2 from Akai is an incredibly versatile midi controller and is a powerful tool when used in combination with Ableton Live. All good stuff, and using it reminds you why the original APC40 did prove to be so popular; there’s smart design going on here.
